I am not able to transfer the application on memory card so please let me know how to transfer the data on memory card from phone memory????

Rooting phone and upgrading android via third party software (Odin) are for advance user only. Anything bad happen (like power failure or bricking phone) during flashing firmware may cause your device unusable and only can be repaired by manufacturer only.
It's not recommended to do upgrading your android unless you know what to do exactly. Many user complaint about short battery life on Froyo 2.2 and want to upgrade to Gingerbread 2.3 because this version has better power management instead of many features and bugfixes.
All i have to say is it's not necessary unless Samsung announce the update through Kies. For now just learn how to use your android froyo properly by doing a simple method:
1) Lower display brightness (below 50%) - Use Brightness widget for easily change the screen brightness.
2) Turn Off Live wallpaper and use normal jpg wallpaper. Live Wallpaper make CPU always in busy where's consuming a lot power battery.
3) Disable Wifi, GPS and Bluetooth. Enable when necessary only. For GPS, install Papago instead of using Google maps.
4) Use 2G only. Only enable 3G if you want surf internet. (Internet by using WiFi are recommended)
5) Disable Packet Data and Roaming.
6) Kill running background programs. (Close the program not meaning absolutely close the software.)
7) Don't play 3D games - Playing games Of course will drain your battery 3 times faster than using your phone for internet (3G / Wifi). Buy PSP if you want play games with far more advance graphic and faster frame rate compared gaming on your phone - Beside PSP Go & 3006 are cheaper now since brand new PSP Vita out to market soon by Q3 2011 ;)

Please create new gmail account and then register again your Apps Market. You might need to clear data in Manage applications so you can enter new setting on your Apps Market (menu > settings > applications > manage applications > all > (choose) Market > clear data. When you launch the market app and agree to the terms of service again, it will sign your Android device back into the market. Don't forget to check 'Unknown sources' (Allow installation of Non-Market applications) so you can install any apps without security checking.

My only problem with this phone is the battery life, it will only last for approximately 18hrs. But when i tried the batter saver app from the market, the battery can now last for a 1whole day. By the way, does anybody know when is the official release of the Gingerbread update?

it has quickoffice document viewer which is not free, you have to purchase lisence to activate, go to samsung.com, view the user guide of this phn, though the other features are awsome.
