I purchased a one of this kind last week,just after two days there was a software failure, Still Samsung service people corrected the error within 30 Minutes. Despite that bad experience at the start , I'm satisfied with what it offers.The major concern I have is with the battery life, battery goes out in less than 24 hours.

I'm update 2.3.3 by third party firmware update and not via Kies. Refer to previous post there are altenate website providing firmware with step-by-step tutorial update to Gingerbread.

jk, 19 Jun 2011how to unlock my samsung fone coz i forgot my goggle acct .... moreI'm asking my friend (phone reseller) about samsung galaxy unlocking codes but he said it's only can be done by software only (using usb cable) and it's not free too (paid service). You can try search on the internet for free unlocking service or software. Don't forget to notify me if you've successfully found a solution or free unlock tools. :)

It's following by united States, Southeast Asia, Middle East and Africa. Check with Samsung help centre for more information about the upgrade.

In fact the touch screen is very responsive as expensive phone with support multi-touch and the camera also is average compare with other phone / brand on the same class. I owned Galaxy s i9000 and Galaxy Mini too. My expression is Galaxy Mini is very good indeed that has all function same as high-end phone. The android 2.2 Froyo also is the advantage for Galaxy Mini while the other competitors like Sony Ericsson Android base phone the Xperia X10 Mini and X8 only equip with Android 1.6 Donut (upgraded to 2.1 eclair).Both of these Xperia also are non-multitouch. The only downside is Galaxy Mini has Low-Res QVGA, No Secondary Cam, No Autofocus, No Camera Flash, which is can be expected for a cheapo device. It's not really impresive but if compared by the price, Galaxy Mini are very affordable and very good choice for a tight-budget user.

No, you can't do a video calling as this Galaxy Mini don't have secondary camera. The 3G's are for internet connection only and it's really dissapointed that all Samsung's medium-end phone lacks of video calling capabilities.

AnonD-2768, 19 Jun 2011Thanks Fakrul... but still I cant wait.. many people useing... moreYes, entering a number when calling is a bit tricky for android phone not like conventional keypad phone. However you can still enter a number and save to contact while in calling mode.
1- While calling press 'speaker' mode so you can hear your friend voice clearly.
2- Then press 'add call' and then type a number you want to save or add to contact.
3- You can end your conversation by pull down a 'drop down menu' and press 'end' button. The keypad you're just entered a number are still remain and then you can add to a contact.

hi, i bought this phone last 2 days, used it 'til bat is empty then i charged it for 4+ hours (or until bat is 100% full), and now its on standby for 40+ hours and I'm only using it when i need to text or check for new messages, then a friend called and we're talking for like 5mins and a sudden warning of "battery less than 30%" or something like that,but my talk with that friend last for like 15-25 mins, and warning keeps on beeping, is this normal or should i go back to the store and get the batteries checked? tnx for replies :D
