Z3K4S, 25 Dec 2011is the galaxy Nexus better or the Galaxy s2? plz help meComparing the specs of S2HD-Lte vs Nexus:
    1. Nexus has weaker a weaker front camera
    2. Nexus has weaker a weaker back camera
    3. Nexus has slower CPU speed (1.2 vs 1.5)
    4. Nexus does not have expandable memory
    5. Nexus has a weaker battery. (granted the slower CPU speed requires less battery, but the screen size and resolution is the same as S2HD-lte)
The GS2 is known as the Galaxy Flagship for a reason.

I have had 2 of these phones in 2 days. The screen is awesome, colours superb. It is as fast as a bat out of hell but the big letdown has been the battery and the fact that it wont get a signal. I took the first back and the guy thought I had a dud and replaced it for me but the second has the same issue. No signal most of the time, going up to one to one bar. Emergency calls only displays constantly on screen. I will be taking it back to Optus (AU) and getting out of the contract, it is a phone after all and multimedia device secondly. I have an iPad to keep me amused with all the other stuff. A shame really, ice cream sandwich is great.

I also like the fact that there's no 'sense' of 'skin' on the nexus. It's pure...fast and good looking

ICS is beter anyway. The only letdown is that there isn't a sd card slot.

Had motorola droid and purchased galaxy nexus. Have gone to verizon store thinking about paying $35 restocking fee amd switching to the droid razr. But each time after looking closer I still leave feeling I purchased the best phone in the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Screen size, vibrant color, larger keyboard and the feel keep me from switching. Speed is awespme too!

The battery dies fast when the LTE/CDMA antenna is on. About 5-8 hours. If you put it on airplane mode, last up to 1-3 DAYS ON ONE CHARGE!!!! Amazing.

The phone works better then iOS in my opinionn. Just wish the LTE model was thinner (9.47mm) vs GSM model (8.9mm) and was not branded by Verizon and said google instead.

I have been using this for about two weeks now after upgrading from Nexus One.

                      Few thoughts
                      - Battery life is above average for smart phone, still not as good as my wife's iPhone, nonetheless gets me through the day without problem
                      - Camera is 5MP but really good. I have seen 8MP camera phones not as good in terms of clarity and detail capture. I am into a bit of pro photography and the lenses on any phone is so small that you won't get your stated 8MP resolution even if this thing had a 8MP camera, same goes for other phones that claim higher resolution.
-Ice cream sandwich is great, the app drawer handles apps and widgets very nicely, the last running app button is great.
-The phone is fast, real fast. This is where it beats its iOS nemesis hands down.
-720p videos are good, there is an option for 1080p videos but I haven't tried it.
-When flash is used, the pictures have a yellow tinge, not sure if its wrong white balance setting in ICS or if the flash has a yellow tinge.
-gTalk video calls and Skype run amazing. On my nexus one, running skype would drain batter and i would need a recharge early evening. On this the skype runs through out the day and the phone lasts through the day just fine.
                      - display, display, display, its gorgeous, crisp, very readable in sun light. Did I say display, its that good, I a haven't seen one this good, talking about its nemesis again, the iPhone, its not even close. The screen is nice and huge
-The large screen, its so large that you can't reach the top left corner with your thumb, the thumb is too small compared to the screen (when held in right hand). You have to use the other hand. This is kind of give and take, small screen are good so your thumb can reach all places, large screen get too big for usability.
-Sleek, i was scared that its large size may compromise its portability, but it being sleeker and lighter than my nexus one makes it easier to carry around.
-Speaker, the ear piece is real loud and clear and i can easily talk in a loud mall. The loud speaker is crap, real bad, not even half as loud as the iPhone and forget comparing it to legends like Nokia N95, the N95 would wake my neighbors up if I didn't pick the phone on time.
-Vibrate, well it could vibrate a bit more, often i don't even feel it vibrate in my pant pockets. Its more a buzzer than a vibrate, quite measly.

Overall, I have never owned a better phone, its been only two weeks and I think 16GB hasn't run out, really mis the SD card slot, but I am not complaining.

Are they in some way different or just another name for same
iPhone shows as UMTS and droids only show HSDPA, confusing

The battery is ok, not the greatest. I have been getting 10-12 hrs use with moderate usage. I have my phone rooted and using SetCPU, and it seems like it helps quite abit

I thought the battery was a bit subpar. If you play around with it alot, and when you first get it you definately will it needed atleast 2 charges a day.

On regular usage, you can still expect to charge it atleast once a day.

My previous is an X10 Mini Pro with custom rom, could go over 2 days without charging that one, but I suppose the amazing screen takes a bit of power to run.

Was looking there at the specs just out of d interest..it has a bit bigger screen than galaxy s2.... Apart from that it preaty much the same as galaxy s2... Where for galaxy s2 u get expandable memory plus 8mp cam at d back n 2mp at the front...so personaly id say sgs2 is better..but then there is os which is different between them..battery life with some real intense usage would b 20hours...where if it used casually would last up to 40-46h

mickel, 22 Dec 2011how is battery life pls tell me ?battery really depends on your usage. if you watch 720p video it will drop fast. if you just use it to talk a bit and read emails it will last 2-3 days.
