Just check out the qualit... moreplease recheck your stuff, Acros s, XS, S all are different phones, by the way please check the following links from gsmarena for the comparison of the cameras, i would say that the 12 mp camera of xperia s is not that better than nexus in daily use forgeting the number of pixels.
i have both nexus and xperia s i checked image quality lots of time but the results looked quite similar, you were talking of the latest hardware of xperia but dude check the hardware comp below.

I am using dis cell from four months and its totally awesome ..price,performance n ad 4.2.2..great Google..not even once I faced any kind of pblm with my cell even though it is out of warranty (brought from Singapore)...superb..m using it all d way one can use..battery not at all giving pblm..

Yes, the Nexus is better calibrated for colors, but sharpness is horrible...
My Xperia Acro S (same camera as the XS) totally kills the nexus...
Having a Nexus with pure Android is great... but Sony does add some features to the phone...
First, the Xperia line of 2011 and 2012 have micro HDMI out, without the need of the overhype MHL... and whats even better, Sony supports CEC profile in the HDMI ports, so you can control the phone with the same remote control of your TV (most TVs from many manufacturers work)...
I would say that most advantages of a Sony high end phone versus a Nexus would be in hardware today (not back when they were sony-ericsson, they had old hardware) Sony today uses new-to-newest hardware on their phones, with many awesome features, like IP57 certification, wet tracking display, dedicated camera key... etc...
Many people appreciate those details..

Galaxy nexus is better than xperia s all aspects except the storage. the 12 mp camera does not give better picture quality than gnex 5mp camera, also xperia s does not have auto brightness.
more over you have jelly bean on the gnex so Gnex is better

I bought it two day's ago, and allready have 4.2.2 jellybean,I LOVE THIS PHONE, past two months I used HTC Sensation & LG Optimus P920 3D , this phone better then them,if you want to by it do not think , just buy it !!! internet speed i awesome, gaming is awesome(need for speed-most wanted, asphalt 7, modern combat 3/4, spiderman...etc...), JUST BUY IT, AWESOME PHONE !!!
