you should try this. you do not lose your warranty and you will receive updates directly from Google and not Samsung, with couple of months delay, now I have 4.2.1 version and I am from Romania

shri, 29 Nov 2012Hello everybody, I update 4.2 from custom ROM it is just aw... moreyep same problem here.. after updating to 4.2, when my galaxy nexus in 2G mode,the voice over call is not clear, even it shows full network bar but when i switch to 3G than voice over call becomes better and clear. i don't know whether it is problem with the software or with my network provider because when my galaxy nexus was running in 4.1 voice over call was clear on both 2G and 3G network

In the settings, open the "apps" option.. in that go to the "ALL" tab(scrolling to the right).. search for "google services framework" option and open it.. click on 'clear data' and then on the 'force stop' button..
now switch off and on the phone.. you should receive the OTA 4.2 update within 1-2 minutes

The next step you have to hold the volume up button at the time hold the power button. Then you can use the fastboot to flash the new Roms on your nexus.
