John wick009, 12 Dec 2021Has anyone had their phone fully submerged in water and exp... moreThey say it is water resistant, but actually it is very risky, I had water damanged my phone thinking it is water resistant and back cover got removed and the glue strength was gone, then I had used heat gun to remove the moisture, and new gum to stick the back panel, now it is no longer water resistant phone

Has anyone had their phone fully submerged in water and experience any issues afterwards. I've had mine for 8 months after being in the ocean I started having issues with the usb port sensor telling me the it's detecting moisture when there is none. This happened 3 weeks after I had it in the water. Tried every and all online solution. Now I know the phone is water resistant but I think it develops corrosion after a while. I ended up taking my phone in for repairs as the issue wasn't resolved with the usb and I couldn't charge it without a wireless charger. They replaced the charging block entirely to resolve this issue. I've seen online of similar issues and I have an s8+ with a faulty usb port. At the time I didn't know it was due to corrosion due to water submerging.
