AnonD-77443, 15 Mar 2016Yes, and there are mid range phones with 6000 mAh batteries... moreScientifically calculating from my usage (with Excel with recorded numbers), I would need 4300mAh. 5.6hrs of SOT, 15 hours usage stretch. If the Note 6 can have 4000mAh, with more efficient power management, I'll be happy for 8 to 12 months before the sealed battery would start lowering noticable lower power holds.
I would guess Samsung should always base their battery capacities and power management capabilities with those with the highest demands on LTE. It should be a gold standard for any manufacturers to consider.

My comment to someone else was about what battery we could expect in the GN6.... i'm guessing it will be 3500-3800 but more would be nice

That is 50% less even with two batteries. Very disappointing Note 3.

Anyways, back to Note phones.

Around 300 paged ebooks equals approximately 1GB IF you had around 3300 of them. Even with pictures in them, I don't think so.

It's a mobile modern tool we can all use, less more of an ornament for status. I even use it for sketching design ideas, and mirrored drawing demonstration and slide presentations to my students - this is what we need in classrooms now. A copy of my library of 1000+ ebooks (60+ GB) is on my microSD. I was carrying a portable 80GB HDD over a decade ago for files, now basically we can accomodate that size on our smartphones for instant access.

To be honest, I got tired of sitting at a desk or in front of a laptop most of the day. Phones are the ultra mobile way to do computing with freedom. Those who think they are just for social apps, calls, texts, videos, pictures, etc.. are living in the past. You don't need an octa-core CPU with 4GB RAM to do that stuff.

Weather we like it or not phones are being used more and more and it wont change. Hopefully the GN6 gets a substantial battery bump to become the ultimate phone again. :-)

Tcool, 14 Mar 2016As if you have nothing to do for the whole day but to opera... moreI do a fair amount on the phone, yes. 40% of my business is done on the phone: research, apps, uploading videos/pictures, calls, texts.
Also going back to college to learn a new skill to include in the business and I do quite a bit of that on the phone also.
The rest is calls to family, friends, apps, Web browsing, videos, photos - I don't game on the phone as I do that on the powerhouse desktop.
I sleep normally, get up early to do yoga then hit the Bowflex at noon. Spend plenty of time with the fiancé when she's around but she's ultra busy herselfnow plus were going through a complete house renovation.
Typical day that gets it all done with sleep. But, the phone is a major companion if you can't tell, so when I have to restart because the screen sticks in horizontal (not just in 3rd party apps but also TouchWiz), it's annoying and of course I'm going to complain. Am I complanning about SD cards or removable battery? No

Tcool, 14 Mar 2016Sorry, didn't beat Note 5 more than 24 hours.
Try again...I guess you're a man who can accept facts easily, or you can't do math. Fact is, I showed you a screen shot with 21 hours usage with 5 more hours left, and the usage was started from 70% battery. That's easily more than 24 hours.
I will not sacrifice doing "light" usage for you, as I'm always using my Galaxy Note with heavy 4 GB of LTE daily. All I can show you is 33 hours of HEAVY use with my extended battery, with 4GB on LTE, 6+ SOT. You can see my Feb. 29 flickr post for that evidence.
You would say I'm cheating, as I'm using a 10000 mAh battery. But that's the wonderful thing about removable batteries - you have control of the capacity you need.
I don't have to stop and charge.
I don't have to carry powerbanks.
I don't have to carry an extra phone like you.
You carry a Huawei ShotX for your Note.5 WiFi needs so you can get by "24 hours" of "regular use".
My advice is to get yourself a Zerolemon exterior 8500 mAh battery to keep your Note.5 juiced up and protected integrated onto the Note.5. At least you would not need to carry a plastic Huawei ShotX for your LTE needs.
