Note 5 is owners pride and colleagues envy.

Tcool, 29 Jan 2016Keep wondering cause your world revolves only within the ug... moreThat's how DNLA compatible devices can work - even without a WiFi router. That's what Nearby Devices function did. This is even how SideSync work just through WiFi to WiFi with the tablet and Galaxy Note.

So, it does use WiFi signals. But man, stop bragging about the low resolutioned "pocket projector" with low brightness. Must be insignificant to even not to be able to mention the brand and model of it here.

You'll bound to slip up and telling everyone anyway, like your Huawei Shot X you use for hotspot.

You cannot accept revolutionary technology liar professor.

What I mean is connecting to a WiFi router, dumb professor. You already mentioned it.

Wireless connection without WiFi router! Just forgot to add router, LOL!

TheNeighbor, 29 Jan 2016Underpowered users like you don't.Yes underpower users like you don't want higher phone screen resolution that is why you are contented with cheap plastic phone.

Nothing to brag compared to even 1080p smart TV.

My mobile projector has auto focus up to 120" screen, projects on any plain or uneven screen and still maintain the laser sharp focus, rich color, and portable.

Who needs a smart TV? Nothing to brag about your ugly cheap plastic Note 3 obsolete features.

I wonder how your can "wireless" connect without using WiFi? Hmm. I'd like to hear your magical method with that obvious low resolutioned and weak lit "pocket projector". It won't be even 720p. Model? Brand?

Have a look up with DNLA. It uses WiFi radios for sharing wireless content. That's how things work.

Note 5 more is useful than the plastic phone Note 3 but you wouldn't accept it cause you are close minded! Nobody uses the crap feature you are talking about but only you so stop it liar professor.

A bit too over priced (There are flagships coming at a much lower price with same price). There are a few bugs too on this, I feel it should have NONE as the high price can be given only if it is highly refined, else what would be the difference between the Yu Yutopia and this (except that it has a few better features like cameras, design etc.)

Nearby Devices function is a very simple way of reading contents FROM your phone via Hotshot, TO a connected tablet or smart TV. Most especially with a tablet while on the go.

It has been with the Note 2, 3 and 4. You don't need to be connected with a WiFi router. It's a surprise that Samsung took it out with the Note.5, hence you can't do it now without a WiFi network.

There is SmartView, but that only works with a TV and local WiFi network. Quick Connect doesn't work with my old Note 8.

More evidence that Samsung is making flagships less useful. Another glaring reason why my Note 3 is more useful than this fragile glass backed device.

TheNeighbor, 28 Jan 2016A broken/cracked glass back from a drop would. That's what you think. I already dropped my premium Note 5 to a tiled floor by accident without a cover and nothing happens to the glass body. Only a very tiny dent on the aluminum siding. If it has been a plastic phone, there would be scratches like when I drooped my previous phone Note 3.
