Guys, why nobody talks about the lag of the Samsung micro usb socket. IPhone socket is million times better...

hmmm.. i always thought of upgrading my note 2 to note 5, long overdue anyway, however having used to certain luxuries like removable batteries and sd card function does makes me think is it worth my money?, forget iphone - overrated, overpriced for the most stuff i am doing, as a statement of fashion, not iphone - ohh puh-leaseee, having iphone doesnt automatically means u are fashionista- far from it. my note2 does lag and getting slower by day with micro stuttering, and the battery is weak too after 3 years. worth buying.. seriously i guess note 5 is not for me since for the price i am paying, there are no luxuries that i am used too.

well.. i guess its time for root, get trim command on the storage, slap in 10000mah battery with casing and i am good for the next 3 years. probably flashing too. if my impulse buying brain fart is willing probably i'll get note 4 or z5 premium, anyone from kl, lets go for teh tarik session

TheNeighbor, 20 Dec 2015While I use it to jot notes, sketch concepts, but if you're... moreEven, say.. my fiancé. She went with the Note 5 too because she thought it would help her out with taking notes in college. Turns out her university didn't allow smartphone use in class.

She never uses the pen or has any idea how the multitasking is supposed to be. Now she wished she had a S6 Edge+ because she would rather of had the entertainment value of a phone.

That's where Samsung is failing. They aren't differentiating their flagship phones. They market both S6 and Note 5 as the same but one has a pen. So, if one doesn't care to use a pen or doesn't see the reason to use one and they see the Note is nothing different than an S6 with a pen; what's the appeal to the Note?

HTC has a history of this type of marketing. They had a ton of phones with no separation or defining need. Sure as hell hurt their business.

For those who think I'm just out to down the Note, I have 2 of them. Each has issues. Don't even go there. I've given plenty of reason why I'm pretty pissed off on how Samsung is treating their market that made them a success.

If I had a Galaxy Note when I was 14, I'd be ecstatic!

So that's what the Note line was designed for? Maybe my 14 year old knows more than we do ;)

Anonymous, 20 Dec 2015What does a 14 yr old know about smartphone. All they want ... moreYes, same idea for someone who is 30 years old, or the mindset of most of the people I know - they love their iPhone but are amazed at what I can do with a Note 3. Still, they aren't buying a Galaxy Note any soon. They just bought the latest iPhone just to feel they're "updated".

Anonymous, 20 Dec 2015What does a 14 yr old know about smartphone. All they want ... moreThat's not the point. Why is Samsung trying to market to those 14 year old kids with garbage hip hop music all while showing using the s-pen for writing childish love notes and drawing hearts in their commercials.

No, my daughter might not know what a true efficient smartphone with a pen does. Neither does Samsung anymore apparently.

All they want is popular brand and super expensive and call it a day. Teenager simply wants to show off to their friends. When I was a teenager I wanted an expensive and popular phone too like Nokia. Your daughter will realized how wrong her choices is after she grows up. She will wonder why she choose an expensive iphone and burden her parent like that instead of choosing a high specs cheaper android(no need to buy Samsung specifically). If 4.7" display satisfy your daughter, why not.

AnonD-430264, 20 Dec 2015Reminds me of how I offered my 14 year old daughter any of ... moreHahaha, I played around with this for a good two hours with my boss' brand new titanium Note.5 - not missing anything. The beauty face selfie function is just laughable - live editing to make your eyes bigger and jaw small really is important... I know all the flaws of this thing and I can only see the don't-know-don't-care crowd pouring money because of the shiny finish.

Meantime, Apple is killing it with force touch, 128GB of storage, and NOT a whole lot of change from before. iPhone is made for the masses that conforms to peer pressure and brand popularity. Shame Samsung is trying so hard to mimick it. Yes, my colleague's teenaged daughter insisted on an iPhone because she doesn't want to be the only one in her group that doesn't use an iPhone.

TheNeighbor, 20 Dec 2015That's what I'm saying since the rumors of this thing - it'... moreReminds me of how I offered my 14 year old daughter any of the newest Galaxy's for Christmas with her own line.

She said: "NO WAY! I want an IPhone!"

I couldn't convince her, even with the cool pen of the Note. You would think with all the money Samsung is blowing trying to use hip hop music and drawing hearts and love notes with the Note 5; didn't really work too well did it?

Instead of taking a successful product and trying to tailor it towards a market that doesn't want you, tailor it to YOUR market.

Still waiting on the multitasking fix. Guess it doesn't matter - they are too worried about iPhone users.

snake86668, 19 Dec 2015I used note since note 3 and i'm really dissapointed with s... moreThat's what I'm saying since the rumors of this thing - it's half of what previous Galaxy Notes are. I played aound with it and the only things I like were the camera settings and S Pen.

Features that made the Note.5 terrible:
                        No changeable battery
                        No infrared remote function
                        No memory expansion slot
                        Fragile glass back
                        Only 32GB for MOST countries
                        Design flawed S Pen storage

That's why I'm keeping my Note 3. Now that I use 128GB microSD card, and waiting for my two 6400mAh extended batteries, it'll be heck of useful than this.

Who does live broadcasting? Who needs that 4-video collage? Beauty face functions? This thing sounds it's geared for those don't-care-don't-know crowd - an inheritance of iPhone users. Yeah, it's hip to be carrying around powerbanks and be hip about it.

Meantime, I can carry just one device without having to carry charger/charging pad/powerbank and USB OTGs, by just using an extended battery and my 128GB micro SD card.

I used note since note 3 and i'm really dissapointed with samsung now.i think samsung lost its characteristic.i choose samsung especially note series because samsung have more advantages than iphone like replacable battery, microSD,can use phone as a remote etc and now almost samsung product are iphone wannabe, can't replace battery,no microSD,no IR.OMG...i think samsung does not need to follow iphone.i hope samsung read my opinion and consider it.you must listen to your customer needs

You don't use 2-4 GB of data daily on average.
You don't do 8GB downloads that drains the battery in 4 hours with speeds of 1-2mbps.
You don't keep your data on 24/7 for notifications like email for work.
You don't use your phone to cast your lectures onto projectors and industrial LED TV screens when needed.
You don't need to control equipment/appliances via infrared.

I can do all these, without carrying power packs, and just change batteries. I can do these with not plugging to a power source while going around the city without a bag to carry for charger/charging pad/powerbank. You do not know my needs.
