Whatever I would like to say that, my problem is fixed as soon as I updated my firmware to Android 7.0 Nougat.. I mean it is as good as my iphone now.. 1% drain in every 3 hours or so... and the 1% goes to, Device idle.. previously in Android 6.0 the 5-6% drain in every hour was sucked by android OS, because the CPU would keep awake.. it was a bug.. sammy killed it on Nougat.
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SAY TO ALL NOTE 5 USERS.. JUST UPDATE TO NOGAT TODAY.. EVERYTHING IS BETTER.. FASTER, EFFICIENT, AND BETTER MULTITASKING.

turn off VoLTE setting it will give you battery life like before the update

Anonymous, 09 Jun 2017Why wouldnt it drain? because it isn't used to this much.. it was like 1% drain in about 4-5 hours standby... i hardly noticed any in real world... now it is like 5% every hour.. it is abnormal, cause.. if i leave it overnight on standby, the battery comes down 40%.. thats totally abnormal

I'm getting a note 5 in about 2 weeks. I can't wait! Should I update it to nougat or keep it on marshmallow? How's the battery life on nougat? Thanks.

But from 1+ year nothing like this happened to my device. Better to sell this out and take a new one

note 5 mobile screen is so weak, after a period of use you find a reflection of the colors on the screen and burned the screen of the mobile twice the first time because it fell and I repaired inside the power of Samsung and two months later screen was burned again without reason. screen is soo bad

I really wanted a Note7, I had a note 3 and was saving money for the Note 7 until it decided to become a suicide bomber, so I got a Note 5, and is the best decision I've made, Battery life went down with the Nougat Update but still, it last up to 64 hours with no issue, AMAZING screen and great performance, if any of you would like to get this phone, do it.

AnonD-673824, 05 Jun 2017I agree note 5 is the best smart phone and after the update... moreI don't think you'll need to change battery that soon, as battery can normally last upto 4 to 5 years or even more. Also it depends how you use/charge the phone.
Like ckdinesh said, make sure if VoLTE setting is disabled.
Also, updating apps from play store can make the difference because some apps may not supported with naugat.
I'm normally getting 5 and half hour SOT. My usage is surfing web, news reading, 30min of small games and whatsapp etc.
But if you use gear vr, facebook, downloading and heavy games. Then the battery can even drain in just 1 or 2 hours. So, yeah it all depends on our usage.
Also check settings one by one and disable or turn off things you don't need.
