Before I was thinking about to buy samsung with removable battery, it was 2 years ago..but now I dont think any reason to buy removable battery phone
The reasons are:
1. Amoled screen has ghost image problem, after 2 years you are going to plan to sell because of screen problem
2. NORMAL BATTERY WILL SURVIVE 2 YEARS..so its useless to think about removable battery
3. Power Banks are more reliable
4. Sd Cards becomes useless after using long period...this can cause to loose information
5. Even expensive mobile phones gets cheaper after 1 year..so you can buy good phone by waiting
6. LCD SCREENS more bright and long lasting.. if you can find mobile phone with removable battery with lcd screen then long happy using mobile phone will be guarantied, of course if you don't drop it
7. As far as...its same as with apple phones...and they dont have remobale battery...then its better to buy i-phone...as I said before they have lcd screens...

Consumer that can afford expensive flagship shouldn't matter since it is a much smaller market. Beside, Samsung make too many smartphone a year. All of those smartphone cost a mountain just to pay the licensing fee to Microsoft.

So basically Samsung is taking away ALL the reasons for buying Android phones. If this is the future of Android, just go to iOS and save yourself the pain people, at least iPhones keep their resale value and the OS is more polished than Android. The only reasons I bought Android phones were the bigger screens (not an issue anymore), the expandable storage and removable battery (gone) and the fact that they were cheaper than iPhones (gone)....

[deleted post]And that matters to costumers how?
When I'm paying $800 for a phone I expect it to have at least all the features of some $50 Android that has an SD slot, so if it was really about not wanting to pay licensing fees the cheap phones wouldn't have SD slot and the expensive ones would.

But the reality is it is just an excuse so manufacturers can remove the ability to upgrade the memory on expensive phones as that forces people to buy a new phone sooner since they can't just put a SD card in when they're out of memory because they know those who buy high end smartphones can afford to buy phones more often.

Plus it's possible to format memory cards to run on EXT and NTFS so Samsung just has to make minor changes to make them work.

People are criticizing samsung for not placing sdcard slot in note5 but read this http://www.howtogeek.com/183766/why-microsoft-makes-5-to-15-from-every-android-device-sold/ and you will realise why it was becoming necessary to remove sdcard slot for Samsung

Reason for not buying Note 5

                  -No UV sensor
-32/64 gb is not enough(even navigation app takes 8GB)
                  -No IR blaster
-No IP67 certificate(even it is sealed)
-less battery capacity(that also LI-PO,it damages after 8 to 9 months)
                  -Stupid Keyboard
                  -No DLNA(even note 3 had)
                  -No memcard support
                  -No removable batt
                  -No Radio
                  -No upgrade in camera
                  -No upgrade from note 4
paying even $600 for this phone is waste of money...better go for note 4 or moto x pure edition.

The reason as to why no sd slot is to allow device to use ext file systems instead of a mix of ext and FAT. This is faster and safer both for the data on the device and the way it is handled and access to our own personal data. There is another reason. Microsoft has patents on FAT file system.

This may sound like a minor patent but it is not. Microsoft have been using this patent since 2003 to pressure Linux and Android companies that use the popular FAT file system for compatibility with other operating systems. In July 2012, Microsoft got a German court to give them the right to ban all Motorola Android devices sales in Germany because of it. Microsoft make much more money from Android than Windows Phone. Everytime you buy an android smartphone or tablet, Microsoft is likely receiving $5 to $15. They make at least $2 billions per year from Android.

This financial agreement is all about patent royalties. Microsoft claim to hold software patents that Android infringes on and they threaten lawsuit against Android device manufacturers until they settle. The patent royalties is what allows your phone to have sd slot. We have seen Samsung financial burden since the failure of S5. Samsung is pressured to take out the sd slot to avoid paying royalties to Microsoft.

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2015That is true to an extend but heat trapped is worst in poly... moreThe heat you feel in the polycarbonate is a good thing as it's being dissipated away from the phone's components and while it's annoying to feel that heat that is exactly what you want as being trapped behind glass is cooking the phone meaning it can't work as efficiently.
And the only good thing is the metal frame as it does dissipate some heat but nowhere near enough.

That is why glass is chosen instead. We can conclude that glass conduct heat better than plastic. Samsung also increase the efficiency by having a metal frame which is an even better heat conductor. It help to eliminates heat faster from internal.

According to me I will buy only Note 4 after using my current LG G3 D855 for 1 more year. LG killed the smartphone segment by lauching G4 with a mere 3 Ampere battery with worst backup and no option to set the resolution (480p, 720p, 1080p etc and 2 MP, 5 MP, 8 MP, 13 MP etc), staying stubborn at 3 Ampere battery since G2 !!!. Now Samsung also killed the smartphone segment by launching Note 5 without : micro SD card slot, replaceable battery and FM radio. I was expecting 4.5 Ampere battery in Note 4 itself. But Samsung cheated again by launching Note 5 after removing most of the essential features.

I am waiting for Nokia to re enter the smartphone market with the superhit Symbian OS. I still enjoy my Symbian buddies N8, N79 and 5320 expressmusic even when I am using LG G3.

SAMSUNG and LG : Are you bribed by the apple company to launch phones without user replaceable battery, memory card slot and FM radio?.

I liked samsung galaxy note series but now, The samsung galaxy Note 5 dosent have a memory card slot, what samsung is doing , and battery less than its old note phones , i didnt liked the note 4 ,but upon seeing this , i am thinking note 4 is better ,and the best is the note 3 , note 4 dosent have temperature sensor, but this is not at all good, not having memory card, also samsung galaxy j5 and j7 are better for camera they have front flash also , but samsung must comtinue their high end phones neatly atleast , they must keep note series neatly, in mobile phones I liked Samsung and their note series very very much and note series was their toppest series more better due to stylus than its s series of s3, s4 ,etc
