It’s 2020 , and i still use it as my second phone .
Still fast, responsive, No glitches at all, and takes very good photos.
Note taking using its stylus is as snappy as day one.

The newer phones are nice but offer nothing much better than the note 5. The only phone with more features was the note 3 which had relative humidity on top of the note series features. Note 3 has removable battery which is huge advantage.
Note 5 is a beautiful phone. Battery issues can kill the screen so need to be careful with fast charging inside a case. Keep Note 5 cool and dry.
Don't need or like the taller phones. This is the best format.

1: is your lense clean, usually people have a fingerprint which blurs the pix
2: you camera settings may not be optimal.. some camera's settings are set to smooth out facial imperfections for selfies.. check your jpg quality and make sure is set to 100 percent instead of 80 which you'll find in some cameras
try downloading different cameras and see if your picture is better, if it is ,then the problem is in settings and not your camera.. Try Lg Camera from play store or Open camera, which i use and it has fantastic pictures, but its not a one setting for all, you have to decide what camera you want for what. i set my open camera for macro and small filesized pictures for sending in texts and emails
