I have dropped my note 5 recently because the very short life of the battery that developed recently but to face the same problem with my new note 8! But, all the dissatisfaction with note 8 turned into complete satisfaction on deleting the IMO apps which I had introduced recently into my note 5 and then got transferred with the switch App into the new note 8. I have about 15000 contact names that IMO kept trying to message or call. This seems to be the reason for the problem of consuming note 8! Otherwise, I would consider IMO as not compatible with Samsung phones. IMO manufacturers can help if they give the owner the choice of holding spontaneous contact for their contact lists.

xtinax, 22 Jan 2018ios user for 8years now.. thinking of switching to android.... moreiPhone user for 6 years here and recently made the switch to the Note 8. I personally found it to be amazing in every way possible and I do recommend it for you. Just keep in mind you will get no more than a day of battery if you're a heavy user, but then again, aren't all phone like that ?

PS. Both are excellent phones including google pixel phones, but not pixel 2 xl wait for the pixel 3 xl if you looking for excellent touchscreen repesinsive, good keyboard as iPhone keyboard very good gaming performance and very good camera stay with these android phones cause overall match to iPhone.

Sorry, regular phones just don't have pen input. Not the same.

So unless the camera on the note 9 came with camera and fingerprint reader like the new Galaxy A8, then I'd get it. But on the other hand if it had curves like the Galaxy A8 no I would not get it.

I went down to 1% to measure correct battery capacity.Then I charged the Note8 to full until my gauge stopped registering charging. Never 0%, as I did not want to take the risk. With AccuBattery Pro, my battery capacity now is ACTUAL 3197.3 mAh instead of the DESIGNED 3300 mAh.
That 100% will not tell you the actual capacity, and it is not the original internal 3300 mAh battery capacity.

What this means is it's NOW ONLY 96.89%, losing some 3.11% battery efficiency in the last 4 months. I keep my battery charged up usually when it hits the 80% mark. Trickle charging rather than charging a big chunk will reduce wear of your battery. This is if you care about your device's battery longevity.

Concerning the issue of not being able to charge anymore when the battery is on 0% and the phone shuts itself off, my Note8 does not seem to have this problem. My phone turned itself off because it was on 0% battery life and it charges just fine.
