Why Samsung is being slow is because they selling there designs and technology too Apple. Which I think is big disadvantage too Samsung because allows Apple to catch up.

Daniel W, 10 Jul 2017Money.Isn't the whole competition between Apple and Samsung supposed to be about technology. Like giving away secret away for bribe off money. If I was in Samsung business, I would not let Apple catch up.

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2017What does Apple offer Samsung?A contrast.
Competition.
Without those two, we'd be stuck with slow devices and nothing to excite us, no innovation. There use to be more than 100 things iOS can't do, around the iPhone 4 era. Now Apple is following Android features we have enjoyed since 2008 - OLED screen (well, this year), split screen (really?) and stylus (after all what Jobs pointed out) on the iPad Pro, better battery because the iPhone became bigger, bigger screen, water-resistance, NFC (well, sort of), a files explorer (that's funny), more internal memory, and better camera (wow, iOS users didn't know their front facing sensor was just 1.2MP).
Competition makes Samsung give us better features, except for the silly trend in making devices absurdly thin that we can't have bigger battery capacities. All what Tim Cook does is to make sure the sales team do stunning slow clean graphics with John Ive's British accent telling us how innovative their product is with 20% - 30% faster, or thinner, or lighter.
The masses just fall for it without know that they are buying the same old thing that does the same things.

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2017This phone I think might be going head to head with Samsung... moreAs for the comment about how Samsung shouldn't make Apple components because they're direct competitors:
I'd rather have my parts in almost every phone sold because that means that I'm making a profit on almost every phone sold, mine or not. Samsung gets money when they sell a Galaxy, and they get money wherever they sell an iPhone. So it really doesn't matter how many Galaxies they sell in the long run. It gives them the freedom to offer more choice at less volume. If they want a business model that is the polar opposite of Apple Inc., this is it.

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2017This phone I think might be going head to head with Samsung... moreSamsung in supplying OLED screens for other manufacturers to use is logical and profitable. It's even good and healthy that both sides have unique things to offer. Most people can't tell what's better, and the masses think iOS is the best till they try Android.

This phone I think might be going head to head with Samsung if the iPhone rumers are right. If I was Samsung helping Apple with technology such as screens being sold to Apple by Samsung is not something I would do. As competition and competitiveness matters. Because off this Samsung might have difficulty coming up with something new which Apple have not done. Is appears Samsung is working for Apple and Apple not working for Samsung. If Apple can come up with some sort off new technology and be the first for on-screen fingerprint recognition this would be a huge advantage for Apple. Removing the headphone jack I think is huge dissadvatage for Apple. But that's if your not into using blue tooth. I doubt very strongly if blue tooth headphone work in the same way as the special iPhone headphone, but shows off your device by wearing them. As a fashion accessory instead off buying third party blue tooth headphone. I noticed how now that Apple has removed paring android devices with iOS devices by blue tooth and icloud email is not longer available on Android. So if u want icloud emails and to be able to send photos by blue tooth you must buy Apple. Apple appears to be cutting off the other methods to transfer data between android and Apple. So soon only android will only work with Android and Apple will only work with Apple. Separating the two.

Looking forward to getting the Note8. While I still do not like the idea of a sealed battery and glass back, I'm getting this for the subsidy unit that I have been holding off since the Note5 (terrible only low 32GB internal memory where I live), and I had to return the Note7.
Getting a Zerolemon 8500mAh power case that will usually come out 4 months after the release of a smartphone. At least that will maintain the shody battery capacity. Based on everything I do, I need at least 6000 mAh worth of power for running my device to its fullest potential without having to plug in or carrying a big @$$ powerbank - how in the world can you stand having to carry and charge an extra thing daily? Seriously.
I've tried the fingerprint scanner of the S8 Plus, and there's little fuss about not being able to properly place your finger correctly. Besides, I use Google SmartLock that keeps my smartphone unlocked unless it's disconnected from my Bluetooth earphones. There's always the iris scanner.

$1,100 ? They couldn't even put the fingerprint under the display or add 8GB of RAM and they still want $1,100 for the base 64GB model ? I'll just buy a small house or a used car instead I'm done with Samcrap.
