Awesome phone definitely still relevant, bought one refurbished, affordable. Everything works awesome, camera is really good (maybe im not competent, i had a3(2017) before this one). I am satisfied, I had these expectations from two years old flagship. I have one problem tho, its ap cp and csc aren't consistent, ap and csc has chinese model writen and cp is US. It is n950u, american version, based on imei. So, should i just flash some official n950u firmware with same binary?

im thinking of upgrading to note 10 lite because 3,5mm jack and newer OS but i only use the note 8 now for 1 year 4 months... you think it worth to upgrade? im happy with note 8 but also like note 10 lite not design but more hardware and newer OS more updates etc.

I use every note since note 2.3.4.5.and note 8 is really a good jump from note 8...
And camera is good...
You can use 4k60 fps in exynos chipset look in youtube for that....battery is not very good but i can go through a day in normal use

i regret getting this phone, it's totally usless in 2020. no android 10, the chipset is a flaming pile of garbage. the camera is 1% better than my old note 3's camera. soundwise, bad mono speaker and the microphone quality is 0, horrible limiter and noise reduction. video quality is as bad as low end smarphones nowadays : ok, i understand 4k60p was a big thing for 2017 but at least give me 1080 60 and 4k autofocus. lastly, THE BATTERY IS HORRIBLE and the storage is meh. i am utterly dissappointed, i wasted my money

I performed the battery reset several times and I can notice a difference, so for me it worked for now. Once the phone reaches 20% it takes a lot longer before it reaches 2-3% before it turns itself off. Heck I can even make a short phonecall at 4%, that wouldn't have been possible before the battery reset.

If you don't like the battery life..go to settings..display and screen resolution and put down to 720p....i know that is not very good but trust me use one day on that and you will forgot what is the screen res...cuz note 8 has a gorgeous display...and display in 720p increase battery life at least 2 more screen on time usage....with 1440p i get 3 to 4 Sot...but with 720p i can go at least with heavy used to 5 hour including games,internet and entertainment....

my note8's charging port is now busted, dont know how it happened... i cant transfer files on my laptop... sad... i think this is one of the rare problem of the note8
