Can't seems to activate video call option on my note 8 after upgrade to android 9 any help will be appreciated please thanks.

    So guys, I'm stuck between getting the s8 plus or the Note 8. Read up reviews and may probably be sticking with the note but any first-hand opinions are welcome.

    If I purchase a US-Unlocked unit to be used in Nigeria, would i still be getting the pie update??

That was the case with the S7 edge when the S8 came out and the same with the S8 series when they released the S9. S7 edge would have easily handled the Pie update and the Note 8 would have run smoothly on the future Q update but what you said is true Samsung want people to go for the newer models and ditch their older ones.

              Sam799, 06 Jun 2019Unfortunately no, it won't be getting the Q update as pie w... moreAs far as I know only OnePlus is giving 3 major OS updates, the OnePlus 3T got Android pie, but it came out running Android 6.0 Marshmellow. If you look at the hardware, the Note8 could easily run Android Q, no problem. I think it's just too much hassle for Samsung and other brands so they just stick with 2 updates. Moreover they want people to upgrade phones every year, so it's probably better to just stick with 2 OS upgrades to 'force' people to upgrade if they decide to keep their phones in their pocket for another year or two.

                  Anonymous, 04 Jun 2019Will get android q???Unfortunately no, it won't be getting the Q update as pie was its last. This is what I don't like about Samsung ditching their top class phones and not offering the future updates, like the S7 edge which was my favorite phone ended up on Oreo as the last and final update.
