Tahmid, 12 Sep 2018Hi .please help me ! I want to buy note 8 Anyone tell me ... moreBattery is not soo good. I use it so oft, and charge it 2 times at day ( at night and once at day, about 18:00 - 19:00). But on my note everything is turn on (always on display, high brightness, colorful background...) . There are option to turn on battery life saver, and, with it, you can use phone almost 2 days (it says 31-32 hours, but I doubt. Also, I want to say you that note 8 is very good smartphone. It gives sooo much opportunities. This is my first note and my next phone will be sure note.

Just recieved a 711,91 MB software update with September security patch and Super Slow-mo, AR emoji.

    Unlocked Note8.

Aadrian, 08 Sep 2018You mean the latest security patch update? No software updated mentioned bug fix also

Aadrian, 08 Sep 2018I am curious how much the Note FE battery will decrease com... moreYou can test it. Let it drain, then charge overnight to 100%. AccuBattery will measure the probable actual power capacity the battery currently holds. It's probably about 80+% efficiency by now.

The percentage counter does not tell the real battery capacity at all, folks. The battery degrades after chargings and usage cycles over time. My battery on my Note8 can only now hold some 3100+ mAh instead of the original 3300 mAh.

Pro tip is to avoid charging up to 100%, trickle charger the battery to 80%, avoid not going down to less than 40%. Turn off or avoid fast charging add it can degrade the sealed battery faster.

I tried to maintain between 40% - 60% charging to reduce wear and tear to 10 times longer longevity of the battery, but it's too much hassle. So I keep charging to up to 80%. AccuBattery's notification to remove the plug is passed on to my smartwatch. Convenient.

As for the S7 Edge battery replacement, I'll have the battery replaced since it's 3600 mAh capacity - pretty decent.

Aadrian, 08 Sep 2018I am curious how much the Note FE battery will decrease com... moreMy note FE battery (with fast charging) easily lasts over a day without any issues and I simply love it: -)

Anonymous, 08 Sep 2018Who updated the latest update and anyone faced any problem ???You mean the latest security patch update?

Th3N319hb0r, 08 Sep 2018The AccuBattery app is pegging my Note8 internal battery up... moreI am curious how much the Note FE battery will decrease compared to my Note8 battery, cause I have fast charging turned on on the Note FE to see how bad that is for the battery. I also installed the app on my workhpone Huawei Y560 and it shows 77% battery health, not so good after 2 years of heavy use.

The AccuBattery app is pegging my Note8 internal battery up to 95% efficiency. That is after 10 months of use. Still very much excellent.

I used the same app to measure a 29-month-old S7 Edge, and shows 77-78% efficiency. So, the story is, Samsung is charging almost $90 for labor and material to replace the sealed battery. It will take 3 days.

This is the caveat of sealed batteries. 3 times more of the cost than a removable battery you can replace yourself, and 3 days of waiting. I've never had any of my Galaxy Note phones wet, or in rain, so water proof is never an issue.

At this rate, I expect I'll need to replace my Note8 battery on its second year, when it reaches some 85% battery efficiency.

While I highly recommend to anyone who don't have a Note8 to get the Note9 instead, there's very little reasons for Note8 users to get the Note9.
