i kept the note charging n went to some work..after half hr when i came back the note was dead.gave to samsung service centre they said mother board dead n cant do anything...can i get any help like how to get new mother board .

Anonymous, 08 Sep 2015my Note 10.1 2014 edition just could not come on after I ha... moreSorry meant at bottom. See were the charging port is. If you look beside it theres a tiny pin hole. Use a small needle or pin and just put it in. That will turn your tablet on.

Worked really well until Samsung corrupted the OS with a firmware that caused internet drop outs and Apps to lockup. Got messed around with the service centre to boot. Now is is just a great suppository so thats where Samsung can jam it now!.

Its not fair as this was just expensive as note 3 when it came out. But 16gb internal memory is what im angry a mst of built in apps take up most of internal memory which leaves me 5gb left. I think i bought this 8 months ago and im hardly on it. Waste if money. But its a nice tablet. Think i will sell.

Definitely we're all stuck to Android 4.4.2, an expensive device not to have even Stagefright flaw update! I need the pen, but need the security and updating too. I don't even say sorry, just "shame on Samsung and this was a very bad joke!". Before the end of the year, I'm back to Windows with pen for professional use and flash another rom on the Note just for kicks. No Lollipop with new TouchWiz, no more Samsungizz.

It was dead after the charge went to 0% (I think so). and then never came back. Power button didnt work home didnt work. I kept it for 3 months (as it was out of warranty and repair would cost me a new tablet), I just tried my luck and plugged to charge, surprised it worked. Here are some observation, you should always use the charger supplied with the device along with charging cable supplied(the charging current seems to be very high), second I have never let the charge go to rock bottom. Now this device is just for watching youtube videos and FB. Apart from that there is no useful purpose I do with this device for which it works fine.

It is true that it never recieved any updates after kit kat. But then again it is samsung - getting 1 update is rare let alone 2nd. The company it self has to be blamed as they are extremely focussed on new devices and do not think of the old ones. I have heard lollipop is in works but i dont think it will reach the users any time soon. I hope samsung atleast launches the next note 10.1 as this one will go obsolete soon even though it has a octacore processor.

Do not buy this device if you want access to systems that are beyond 4.4.2.
Samsung did not upgrade this device except for once in its 2-year lifetime. It's a decent tablet otherwise, but if you want to be supported by your manufacturer long after you purchase a device, do NOT look to Samsung. Buy a Google Nexus device. That's probably the type of my next purchase.

Anonymous, 31 Aug 2015Why haven't I received an update to kit kat? It will probably never never receive any software whatsoever. I own one since September 2014, and Samsung doesn't look like it will support any device other their current flagship models. My brother's Tab S is also stuck with KitKat, and has no Lollipop upgrade on the way.
