The communication is GSM dependent irrespective of the Network type. So basically as long as you have signal you can make and receive calls. BTW the video calls are amazing quality in a LTE environment.

Been using this device for about a month now (got the lte variant btw) and I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever the battery outlasts my gt p7500 (yeah I know ow its old) the screen is so crisp its an absolute eye candy the pen gets used much more than I thought I'd use its extremely fast (side by side comparison with cytus on my friends xperia tablet z) its much louder than any tablet I've tested against. Just love it as it is and people complaining about it being buggy? Really?? Have you smoked apple to make you say that. Clearly you haven't used it yourself and rely on apple fanboy reviews
