Go to the Settings, General, then select Battery - you can see all the stuffs that is consuming more battery power and GPS is not included there.
Who told you that it is the one consuming your phones battery juice?
It is your data connection consuming too much battery charge fast, better use a mobile WiFi router and connect your phone to it.

Internet radio, social networks, email, bluetooth connected to my P1 as my phone dialer, audio earpiece and music controller, torrent downloading, word editing, PDFs, browsing, S Note for my notes and sometimes drawing with Sketchbook Pro.
Best device to do all without worry about battery life because it has a removable battery system. I'm getting almost 6 hours of screen time on. HTC, Sony are following Apple's fixed battery system and just gives the hassle of plugging in to charge in the half time you're out of the house.

Dear all phone feautures are excellent and I am experiencing lag free operation.Bur one thing while switching off the screen a flash occuring on the screen did any body have the same experience.apart from this note 3 is excellent
