And what's the essence of having a smartphone when notifications are to be done manually? For me, the best thing to do is get a spare battery and enjoy ur device more.

So glad that I grabbed my SM-N900V on its launch day. Looking at the current releases, nothing on the market comes close to the Note 3's productivity factor. The only device which can properly take its place is the Note 4.

Everything else is just a watered down version of what a true smart device is.

I've done that turning off and on the data, and I've tried Juice Defender Ultimate a few months. It's not effective for me since I'm a heavy user. I can say I listen up to 5 hours of Internet radio daily, a usual 1.5GB of torrent downloads daily to watch when I get home, bluetooth on for my wireless earpiece and browsing of about 3 hours daily using a Note.

Having an extra battery to slide in does the trick for enough heavy usage till I get home. No need to turn off data as I need my email notifications for work. No need to disconnect my bluetooth earpiece connection. You may need 80 seconds to level up to a full charge from a fresh battery instead of plugging in. I have no worries about cutting down on my Internet usage because I want to save on power for one battery on the Note 3. The message is, I don't have to.

You turn off your data if you're not a heavy user like me. You got that one battery. I get that.

You should consider that the Note 3 was intended to have a removable battery system unlike the competition.

The removable battery system is very practical and much more efficient.

            1. Better battery cycling and thereby longer life.

            2. Seconds to get a full charge back than wait 2 hours to charge.

            3. No need to carry the charger or a heavier power bank.

            4. You have a choice of a third party extended battery, even trippling the capacity.

            5. Safer to charge on a cradle than on the device as about 10% of batteries have chances to be unstable.

            6. Reduces the chances of theft while charging outside the house.

            7. An extra battery is smaller and thinner to carry inside your pocket.

            8. When your battery finally gives up, you just buy a new one.

            9. No need to pay for more expensive internal battery and wait for days to have it installed.

            10. Your device becomes practically wireless without the need to plug in via the micro USB most of the time if you just charge the spent battery via the battery cradle.

At 88percent of battery life left on my phone, took 86 mins at 4g by the time they were all downloaded and still left with 64 percent left on battery life, how come yur gona ask, like i said switch ya data off in idle mode and save power, keep swapping batterys all the time no need for it! Just commen sence?

AnonD-174449, 21 Jun 2014As i mentioned in a previous post, switch your data off in i... moreI consume 70 to 80 GB of data monthly on my Note 3, since I download my all media using Atorrent. I keep my data on all day. It only takes 80 seconds to turn off, replace the battery, and to boot on. One battery will give me some 10 to 11 hours till I reach 10 to 15%. The spent extra battery is charged with a battery cradle charger at home.

I sincerely think I'm getting the most of my unlimited data, and not be bothered to have to turn on and off the data, as I constantly listen to Internet radio, browse when I need to, and it's the main source for data for my laptop and home use. The sacrifice is just 80 seconds to change the battery, and probably 10 seconds to place the spent one on to the charger at home.

                            2. Root the device and use Titanium Backup to remove some of the useless apps.

Been using Galaxy Note 3 for almost 4 months... Works very well, multitask smoothly, capable in playing any games..

                              Only 2 complaints about it:
                              1. Battery consumption is quite fast for 3200mAh, usually have to recharge everyday(normal usage), twice a day(heavy usage)..
                              2. way too many pre-installed apps which cannot be either uninstall or disable..

Other than that its a fantastic phone.. screen is the best, speaker is very loud, s pen really helped when I'm preparing notes..

Overall, a phablet worth the high price tag...

AnonD-226352, 20 Jun 2014Now 2nd quarter of 2014 is going to end and many manufactur... moreYes, contrary to the other brand purist fans out there who keeps telling us that the Note 3 is such an inferior device than theirs, the Note 3's outstanding rare features like the Wacom digitizer (S Pen), and Samsung's efforts to add productive apps like S Note and SideSync (which Apple copied to come up with "Continuity").

Super AMOLED screens are top for clarity and contrast. No matter how they try to seemingly troll how saturated LED screens are, they are deaf to the fact that color accuracy is present to current Samsung AMOLED screen devices. AMOLED screens just beat LCD based screens in terms of daylight clarity, low light controlling for easier reading at night, and power saving for darker screen backgrounds. LCDs have a constant lighting around the bezels, while AMOLED screens' are lit by each pixel. Black areas are really black since they are totally off, while LCDs can only attain dark greys for black areas.

I appreciate the multi-screens for multi-tasking. These anti-Samsung trolls practically aren't aware they come very useful for extracting information, like researching with the internet top window, while the bottom window is for typing or copy-pasting the information using S Note or any form of Office suite.

The S Pen really does come in handy by annotating digitized books, putting and marking those significant passages for your term paper. Drawing diagrams and procedures are easily done, and not so with your finger or capacitive pen. You'll find it difficult writing smaller, or drawing finer details with a finger on the capacitive screen.

The Note 3's 32GB as the regular model came as a big relief for me. I do utilize expansion cards as well, but the internal offers some 26GB of user space, comapred to the 10 to 11GB offered on 16GB devices.

Looking forward to what the Note 4 has to offer.
