I am going to buy Note 3 in a week or so! But really confused with Samsung's spoil sport nature! It will releases numerous models under the same name! For an instance, under the name, Note 3, there are so many models like N900, 9000, 9002, 9005 and so on! I'm from India and I'm unable to choose the best one! Please, help me friends! Thanks in advance!

As I am purchasing it from USA, so Can any One Tell me which model should i buy to use in India?

AnonD-170479, 26 Apr 2014Are these the functions which should be there in a smartpho... moreYou misspelled my name wrong. You actually called people from the Lumia 1520 page to post here?

Wow, that just means you can't fight your own arguments yourself.

Your erased posts here were nonsense. No merit. No logical sequence. No proof. Mediocre. No counter points. Plain feelings based. Wrong assumptions. Filled with fallacies.

Give us better points. Stop your hatred drivel about the Note 3 with irrelevant arguments like "S Pen is useless". Just because you belong to the 35% who likely will not use a Wacom digitizer, doesn't mean it's not useful. And how can you argue with the fact that Android runs more than 80% of the World's devices? WP barely makes it at 4%. It's going to drop to the zero point something group pretty soon. Shops closed Worldwide, service centers gone, and signages taken down.

If you can't argue properly and decently here as a guest, then stop. Peddle your 1520 drivel on your own device page. I'm sure you're fired up about a device that has a brand name that no longer lives.

I'm not making fun of the Lumia 1520. There's just less to be impressed about it. It's you who brought it up on this Note 3 page in the first place. It was never on my radar. Didn't even care about its specs. I think that's funny.

                      Hi Admin,

I have updated latest firmware 4.4.2 BV-N9005XXUENC2. after that, my mobile (note-3) battery performance very poor. Battery charge draining very fast even idle. Please give me solution.

[deleted post]The Lumia 1520 was made by an extinct company called Nokia. It was designed by the Nokia team, with the brand Nokia, and not Microsoft yet.

Nokia died because they didn't get the market.

Microsoft makes devices with a Wacom like with their Surface Pro line. I wouldn't be surprised if they came up with a Wacom based 5-incher smartphone with fantastic software, probably using the Windows RT OS. Bye bye Windows Phone.

I believe in MS' vision of dropping one of its 3 OSs, and is most likely dropping the WP which you are crazy about. This is the reality.

Since you're poor of actually researching about how often people use the Wacom digitizer of the Note 3, here's a reality check. Only just above 35% say they don't use it. The rest of us do use it.

You need to point to facts, not how you just feel. Your 1520 is already a dead product. I'm actually sorry for you...

                          [deleted post]Lumia 1520

                          Dimensions: 162.8 x 85.4 x 8.7 mm, 120.3 cc (6.41 x 3.36 x 0.34 in)
                          Weight: 209 g (7.37 oz)

                          Note 3

                          Dimensions: 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3 mm (5.95 x 3.12 x 0.33 in)
                          Weight: 168 g (5.93 oz)

No, the 1520 won't fit a regular pocket at all at more than 10mm or 1cm taller. That 40g+ is going to weigh more especially on a top shirt pocket.

The removable battery system is very practical and much more efficient.

                          1. Better battery cycling and thereby longer life.

                          2. Seconds to get a full charge back than wait 2 hours to charge.

                          3. No need to carry the charger or a heavier power bank.

                          4. You have a choice of a third party extended battery, even trippling the capacity.

                          5. Safer to charge on a cradle than on the device as about 10% of batteries have chances to be unstable.

                          6. Reduces the chances of theft while charging outside the house.

                          7. An extra battery is smaller and thinner to carry inside your pocket.

                          8. When your battery finally gives up, you just buy a new one.

                          9. No need to pay for more expensive internal battery and wait for days to have it installed.

                          10. Your device becomes practically wireless without the need to plug in via the micro USB most of the time if you just charge the spent battery via the battery cradle.

I don't know if Ulhaqpak does know engineering and mechanics behind Battery.

I wonder if he even knows every battery has limited number of charge cycles.

[deleted post]That's it? Funny stick? That's the best you can attack with?

The S Pen's technology is from a company called Wacom, licensed to Samsung starting on the first Galaxy Note. There is a thin layer of sensor that works in tandom with the digitizer pen which guages the amount of pressure that you press against the screen surface.

It monitors 1024 levels of pressure, the more the pressure, the thicker the lines being produced; the lighter the pressure, the thinner the line lines. It's dynamic, and responds to the exact moment it, meaning lines can be produced from thin to thick lines in smooth transition. It mimicks the characteristics of real pen, pencil and brushes to be intantaneously recorded in digital. This is what digital artists and designers use.

It's not just used for art or designing, it's a fantastic and most efficient way to take down notes like using S Note and draw simple diagrams about idea concepts. A digitizer pen is much more accurate and is better in marking up PDFs. ONLY when you use a digitizer pen that finger touch can be set to be rejected in most drawing or PDF reading apps, to avoid those unintended inputs.

Sony has a pencil input, which is merely turning up the screen sensitivity to detect the pencil tip. It only works 50% of the time I used it and the pencil stained the Xperia Z Ultra's screen with the pencil lead. It had not finger touch rejection, meaning it produced some artifacts in the drawing. There is NO dynamic line width input at all since it cannot detect levels of pressure input, and you're stuck with same-line thickness which you need to manually set.

I think we can have another look at that Xperia experience:

                                  https://www.flickr.com/photos/92800985@N06/12988096044/

So, before you comment again about the S Pen, you should remember that you have a low ended speced device which you are bragging in a high performing device page. Your less than 5GB user internal memory alone is not worth mentioning against the 24GB of the Note 3.
