RT, 14 Nov 2013Coming from past S4 experience and now Note 3, I would say ... moreThe problem is that im trying to take good picture. And if made a lot of tests in low / med and day light, with and without flash, iv tested a lot of camera modes + white balance, exposure, metering, smart stabilisation etc. I m not happy with the results ;/
I have few gestures what may cause this lack of quality.
1. Samsung have put some post process to make pictures looks good (in their opinion), in various situation - especially in low light and when you shoot fast and you are not super steady. I mentioned in my 1st post filter or effect i use to process low quality images in Photoshop (median). This filter (in Photoshop and other picture editing programs) interpolates pixels comparing them with "neighbor" pixels and try to "average" their value (color contrast brightness etc.) so they match more close to their surrounding pixels. Result is "washed" image with lack of contrast, when it comes to fine details.
This is made if you have very low quality original picture which you like to have more descent look with minimum efforts. When it comes to shooting with Note 3 in 13 or 8 MP this is bad to have that sort of post process over your pictures. That shows low quality of camera and matrix behind;/ After all its only a phone not real camera. Lets hope im not right about that.
2. Phone is decalibrated from transportation and other reason trough his way from manufacturer to seller store. I know the effect what vibration or some hits can produce.

My previous smartpho... moreComing from past S4 experience and now Note 3, I would say that there could be some blurriness in the picture if the shot is taken in low light but its not that bad as you have mentioned in your comments. And also in the low light, if shot is taken with steady hands, the image looks quite nice. Note 3 camera, to me at least, takes high contrast photos. But yea, I would agree that there is some blurriness in the shots particularly if they not taken carefully or without steady hands. Cheers.

I have Note 3 (SM-N9005) from 2 weeks. My previous smartphone was Note I (GT-N7000). I am very disappointed from picture quality i got from Note 3 compared to my old phone Note 1. Note 3 got a bit blurry pictures similar to very low "median" effect around sharpen line/edges in picture (like human hair for example). Result is lack of sharpness and contrast.
Pictures are with low quality even on 13 MP compared to Note 1. Iv viewed pictures on large 46 inch TV and on few eizo monitors and result is that i like more Note1 quality. Some may say im perfectionist but the truth is i enjoyed shooting with note1 and note 3 piss me off. I wonder did i get defect one or just fabric software/hardware malfunction. Difference is visible to me but for most user this slight shift in quality will be unnoticeable. For that kind of money i payed i expected better from this product;/
If som1 has similar thought will be glad to discuss them.
I will be glad to give my Note 3 to GSM arena to test it they have time :)

my cousin has the gs4..it overheating a lot after about half hour of browsing with 3g..when i say overheating means that i can still feel hot even with thick casing..that would be very bad for the battery right?
is the same problem happened with note 3?
i would really love to buy this beast..but if the problem doesn't solve, i might have to search another phone..
i'm a heavy user and i don't want to fried my phone for sure..
