Are you sure both sides also thicker compare to your friend's phone? The displayable screen should be 5.5 inches exactly.

dbd, 23 Jan 2015One thing I've noticed..apart frm body's bezel..there is a ... moreOh if you mean about the thin black at every edge of screen. It is normal and quite visible for white note 3 neo.
But if one of the edge is not even on every side or tilt, then you can bring to the service centre and replace a new screen as it is a cosmetic defect.
Anyway, if you seen any obvious different with your friend's note 3 neo. Then go to service centre and claim warranty.

It is better to have htc desire 820 than note 3 neo.comparatively htc provide more features especially camera both phone comes in same price range just go for desire 820
