To me, deciding between this one and the Note 3 was just a matter of price: I mean, with comparable prices the Note 3 is WAY better, but I found the Note 3 Neo at 270€ (from a legitimate shop, w/warranty etc.) and for THAT price it's really the best you can buy.

Compared to the Note 3 it is slightly smaller (easier to handle - still a little too large to be used with one hand, and I've big hands!), smaller RAM (2Gb vs. 3Gb, don't know if I will never notice it), worst camera and different CPU: the Note 3 Neo has a strange hexa-core, made up by a dual and a quad-core CPUs, where more Cores are involved only when needed to keep the power consumption acceptable. It works, I mean, it has very few lags (when waking up, sometimes, and when opening the camera - but the latter is clearly a software issue, hope it will be fixed with Kitkat).

Nice smartphone, the screen is NOT full HD by the way, but you are really not going to notice it on a 5-inch display. It will be updated (soon, hopefully) to Android 4.4, but you really don't feel the pressure for having it updated because it just works fine out of the box (besides the slow camera loading!).

So, guys, I was not 100% convinced when I bought it, because I felt it was something like the "poor" Note 3: actually, that's a great phone, well designed and assembled, and works perfectly. Additionally, you have all the features of the s-pen (ALL!) with an amanzing price. It places between Note 2 and Note 3, as per specs, and performances are great. Good battery life also, and the battery is replaceable (a must for me, traveling a lot I really do love to have an extra battery in the suitcase without having to deal with those horrible external usb battery-powered chargers).

So, if you find it at an aggresive price as I did...buy it! My only concerns regard the support...both from Samsung (updates, accessories...for the time being, you can buy a super-expensive flip-cover, which is however quite nice and works great with the s-view) and by the community (custom ROMs can usually extend the device life when official updates are no longer available, but I don't know if this device, belonging to a side-branch of the Note family, will be of great interest for the developers...)
