Everything are OK except the home and capacitive button, leave it to cell phone(hybrid) category. I think Samsung get lacking of ability to their design. They just looking for hundred million, how about billion? Imagine how many people around the world!

The 800x1280 resolution and size are fine. I hope the battery stamina is more than my Note II for heavy use of 16 hours+. I plan to use this as a tool for my experiments on digital painting with its Wacomm digitizer system and not be limited to carrying around a Windows laptop, digitizer tablet and need to plug in for power.
With Photoshop Touch being available, you can actually 4 times more pixel count art than the native screen resolution.
I had to do more zooming in with my Note II's 5.5" but the Note 8.0's 8" screen should give me a but of an advantage to do stuff like this:

samsung shouldnt put price in mind building an 8 inch phablet cause the tablet size is the issue here not its price. i am sure when i say that the specs will be the only motivator to put ppl mind into buying it. and this specs is not motivating at all . the 7.7 is the almost perfect tab except for the camera and the android version. shame on you samsung for getting greedier and greedier!!!!!

Maybe Sammy intended this to be cheaper than the iPad Mini that is why the specs are not too great

It has been more than 2 years since apple has introduced retina display. I'm no fanboy of apple, but Samsung should really take up the pace for creating displays with better ppi. 800x1200 just does not cut it anymore.
