My note 8.0 was working fine then all of a sudden went off, thought battery was dead cause wouldn't come back on but when I attached charger the screen came on showing battery but all it does is blink constantly and doesn't charge. Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix

mine have two major problem.. one is battery are going drained over faster..two, its certainly over temprature..almost time its was happend when i use the casing bag.

The inability to replace the battery is the ONLY reason I will not upgrade - Ver 3 has the ability and when on long train journy and watching downloaded films etc I often have to change the batteries twice and sometimes 3 times during the trip

The Note 8 also needs a new usb port but I managed to get it working well enough to charge it so I didn't bother.
The first thing that you should do is a factory reset. That often solves a lot of software problems. The second thing that you should do is get a new USB cable. I had brand new Samusng cables that wouldn't work with the Note 8. I got a good quality one from a cell phone store. Just keep trying cables. You may find one that will work.
At some point your tablet most likely fell off a table with the usb cable plugged in. That will damage the port and the cable. The port could just be worn out from age. Fortunately, the USB port is not all that hard to change. Look for a You Tube video. You will neeed a plastic opening tool (dirt cheap} and the replacement part. There are two parts available. One is a larger unit. Get that one. It will just plug in for you. The Usb port is also available. It is the smaller and cheaper part. That needs to be soldered and the repair will be harder. Get the first one. Check EBay and Amazon for the parts. Once you see the video and look up the parts this should all make sense. Or, take it in. That might be more than you want to pay for such an old device.
Google and You Tube are great resources for fixing things like this. Give it a shot - if its broken you probably can't make it much worse!

I know that I need to replace it. Try a new usb cable. In fact, try several good quality ones. I bought a new Samsung cable but that didn't work. I picked up a good quality cable at a cell phone store and it is the only one in the house that works with the Note 8. The usb port is not all that hard to change. Look it up on You Tube. There are two different replacement parts. One is a larger unit that simpy plugs in. Don't buy just the port itself. That needs to be soldered. You'll understand once you see the video and look up the parts.

I do not understand this SHIT , sometimes it chargs good and the Charger get so hot thats mean it works (not too much in range) , some times it takes 4 hrs or more and the charger stay cold... i do not understand this .. what to do to understand whats going on Experts .. let me pleas hear from you.. i will throw it away.. but first i wanna know .. befor 4 monthes it wont be able to charg wass off then it works alone correctly .. crazy tablet.. bad one

Hi recently I just started using note 8.0 and I'm having issues with the memory card, using a Class 10 micro SD size of 64GB. However on and off it have been giving me error messages like memory card not detected or it's been unmounted. Is there any way to solve it? Or the memory card size is too big?

Look at the above link and find an option that you find easiest to follow.
To change to "European settings", you should just change it to your language and everything should work. Your minimal information posted doesn't help when trying to diagnose what you did to the device.

I bought my tab from Oman...now it is having complaint with charging...when I showed it in Samsung showroom in India they said it s having complaint with motherboard and better to show it in Oman itself. But unfortunately I am staying in Qatar now...is it possible to do repair in Qatar..Please help me...

I had no problems with my note 8 but lately I have lost all my pictures from facebook saved in my gallery and I cannot share anything from fb it turns grey and blocks the device.
