Installing system update, the p... moreyes. there is a way to fix this. but It you MIIGHT not like it. enter recovery mode. and simply reset it to factory form. BEFORE you're even applying any changes. make sure to update it to the latest android version/security level possible in your region AND THEN apply all changes. worked for me. ^-^

My Note Edge is only 2 years old, and has been nothing but problems. Frustrating enough to make me look for anything but Samsung next time - I'm even considering jumping the fence and going to Apple. The latest in a long line of Samsung problems relates to the updates. I regularly update in the vain hope that previous issues will be addressed, only to find MORE problems. This time the update has forced my fingerprint scanner to fail, with no obvious solutoin. Fed Up!

Just now a problem started. Installing system update, the phone restarted and restarted and rebooted and rebooooooooooted and nothing happens but iwth a logo with a triangle 'error'. Waiting now for 1 million times to restart and drain the battery, then recharge and then again. Why should this much money paid phone killing our time! Is there a solution to recover the phone to work normally again?

Changed battery once as it stopped at 20%.

I was about the buy the Note 7 but with the explosive quality had to get something so went for Note Edge 32 (second hand) as my Note 3 was only 16GB. Very glad I chose this and experience the beautiful qualities of the Edge.

The price of this phone has come down in Amazon. But is this phone worth buying in April 2017? If I do, should I update and to what (Nougat ? Marshmallow?) to make it work in peak condition ? Any other tips for a new owner would be welcome. (I'm quite intrigued by the stylus which is better than LG's so do want a phone with one).Thanks.

Root your phone and install the newest cyagenmod onto your phone to get android 7.1.1. Read online on how to do it on your particualar phone. BUT PLEASE NOTE: Backup all your important data, just in case anything goes wrong and also your phone will be wiped anyway for the new OS.

dr.Rx, 14 Apr 2017I bought three used note edge sincebuying new one is pretty... moreFirstly, do Factory reset and Format the microSD card.
It may be the sellers unable to solve such issues.
After factory reset, do charge with original Samsung charger first, which is fast charge type.
if not, look for batter charger, by Samsung, with at least 2000mA, as original charger.
Again, the seller may not give you the correct charger.
This may not be the battery itself at fault.
I bought a cheap battery but able to charge to 100%.
And using it have no issue, as i used it for standby.
Tips: Go to (hardware) shops that sell all kind of battery, as i bought from.
It is not fake but the shop staff did told me that it may take longer to charger, its true.
Lastly, when the battery % drop to below 50%, then do the charge.
That is not necessary to charge to 100% all the time, as it may give the battery problem.
Only once in a while then do a full 100% charge, else it is not necessary.
I do not believe that every charge must be perfect 100%.
As it may cause the battery to over-charge all the time, battery wear faster.
Battery should indicated for Note Edge, as mine is.

I bought three used note edge sincebuying new one is pretty difficult or the price would be inappropriate anymore. I thought it is a great phone despite the battery problem. Three of them has the same problem. Phone shut down itself at 15 or 20%, replacing the fake battery only make things worse, it cant charge fully, stop charging at arround 90%. Shut down without warning at 10% or arround. Too bad. The original battery price is 25% of the device price itself. Too bad... I have bought 2 fake batts online, let use see in my third trial, would it be better?
