Samsung Galaxy Note II LTE live pictures and benchmarks

The Galaxy Note II LTE is here and it looks identical to its LTE-less global counterpart. We asked around and turns out that the Note II LTE has the same innards as well - a quad-core Exynos 4412 Quad SoC with an additional LTE chip inside.

The Note II LTE feels large to hold but it isn't drastically bigger than the Galaxy S III, for example.

The screen is an absolute treat. The new differently-arranged pixel matrix really does make a difference with the screen on the Note II LTE. It looks very sharp and individual pixels are really hard to distinguish. It's much brighter than the screen on the original Note.

Moving on to benchmarks we've pitted the Note II LTE against heavy competition - namely the Xperia TX, T and V and a number of high-class quad-core contenders.

BenchmarkPi tests the core performance of the chipset. The Note II LTE calculated slightly faster than its quad-core competition but failed to match the per-core raw power of the Krait cores inside the Xperias.

NenaMark 2 takes the Note II LTE's GPU for a run. Here the Mali 400 MP did a good job but was slightly behind the Adreno 225 competition.

Quadrant is an all-round benchmark - it tests the CPU and GPU alike. The Galaxy Note II LTE once again defeated its smaller brother the Galaxy S III but failed to beat the Krait-powered Xperias.
