AnonD-160071, 28 Jun 2013Bro you gotta do this. ..
1.Install juice defender.
2.In... moreI'm past Juice Defender, and the RAM optimizing apps. There's one app that makes Android devices quite efficient - Greenify. It works on root devices only. It hibernates apps so that they aren't activated or start syncing unless you start using it. Facebook, Whatsapp, or any social media apps for example regularly updates, and the frequent times it does drain power.
It's unlike Juice Defender where it turns off bluetooth and wifi radios after awhile of inactivity. Greenify completely stops the apps you have chosen to hibernate after a few minutes of not using them. No app activity, no radio use, no power loss. Defaulted apps like phone and SMS will be still be functional in the background. It's like defaulting how your Android worked before you started installing other apps. I get only 1% to 2% of power loss overnight.
There's also not much use of RAM cleaning as the 2GB is far more than enough to handle multiple apps opened. Greenify just hibernates them after being idle.

Steve J, 28 Jun 2013The charging cable is faulty although the phone is only a f... moreYou can use the default My Files app to transfer downloaded media to the micro SD card. Select from the download folder from your default storage, and then drop them to the sdExtCard. No default to making the micro SD card as default for downloads.
You can always root the Note (easy to do) and use DirectoryBind to make to make the download folder content be stored to the micro SD card so it doesn't accumulate on your main device directory. I do this to most of the folders on my device drive and I maintain less than 5GB worth used space on the main. But I'm guessing that's not your thing.
If you do download torrents, ATorrent has the option to make the sdExtCard as the default files destination.

Hi,
I got the Note 2 and I am very satisfied with it.
I got only one problem, sometimes the Main camera takes a lot to start when I want to take a picture of something, the application itself starts, but there is only black for some time, and then it turns on, and sometimes even sends breaks down with the erros "Unfortunately this app bla bla" Anybody got an idea?
What should I be doing?

You can move files/photos from phone to card by going to files, selecting the required ones and use 'move to' option to move it to SD card.

The charging cable is faulty although the phone is only a few months old. I had to replace it because it was taking four times the normal time to charge.
The screen is very usable and I am addicted to it. I find it difficult to use a smaller screen; so Xperia Z and I Phone do not interest me.
However, Note II is not user friendly. You cannot transfer downloaded pics & vids from the phone to a mem card and vice versa.
When you select settings> storage> SD Card; the phone illogically does not let you see what is on the card or actually adjust settings. Surely if you prefer the mem card as your default storage you should be able to select that function in settings>storage> SD Card. However you can't. Illogical. Ridiculously illogical!
