Sony has terrible battery longivity, and what's worse is they designed it fixed. I like their waterproof designs but still, some of us need a relaible unit that can get through a day's usage.
I know not all would need the screen and power of the Note II. The call log on my device works fine and in chronological order. If "jumbled" you meant that you see all messages, missed, called, recieved, etc., you should press the option key when you are in call logs. There you will see the option "view by" and choose "all calls" to see only calls. You can even filter to "received calls" only if that is what you wanted, or "dialed calls".
Maybe you are on power save mode and this lowers the processor's work and the response is lesser. Turn that off via sliding the top Touchwiz notification bar down, slide right from the option icons to find it.

can anyone know how to fix network error when using s voice on galaxy note 2 n7100,,,?? pls post your answer already done clearing data on it,, s voice can be use even offline right?

About battery, mine got better battery life after 4.1.2 upgrade, but it also got slower, the performance is noticeable lower. Not quite as smooth in the UI now, which is annoying.
The text Messaging got unstable since upgrade, if i do heavy texting it could hang and then crash, it cannot be fixed with app manager, need to restart the phone.
All in all the phone is less usable now, so its good i had already decided to get Xperia Z instead of this, i got even more convinced that i need to go back to Sony again, i even bought a nice capacitive stylus yesterday when i was in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and im using it for the Note 2 already, sure it got no arview or screenshots or whatever the S-pen has, but it gets the job done, and it has one big advantage, because as we know the biggest shortcoming of the S-pen is that it does not work on the Back and Menu buttons, but a capacitive stylus does. Very convenient in some cases.
I guess this was my first and last Samsung smartphone, its really a great phone in so many ways but it getting worse, its going the wrong way. Samsung should rather have fixed the shortcomings and flaws instead of destroying performance and stability, wish they used less resources on lame things like Weather Tagging and replacing the CALL LOG with a LOG that they should call "jumbled inbox with everything in it, arranged in a chronological ordered mess to make sure you cannot find what you were looking for".My first handheld back in 1993 had a call log, my $16 Samsung E1200 has a call log, why is it being removed in the flagship?

Generally it should be low 30s. I have had mine up to 45 when I left it in the sun for a while once
.
You shouldn't damage your phone as there should be safety cut outs.

If you google note 2 4.1.2 battery drain you will see that it's a really common problem.
PLEASE FIX SAMSUNG.(along with the wifi connectivity problem which is also pretty common)

used optimus 2x, htc one x, now galaxy note 2 ... best thing is battery back up on 3g network its giving me more than 24hrs of back up.....awwwwwssmmmmmmm.....

i am using note 2 for past 4 months, updated to 4.1.2, i ca say i have not faced any battery problem. guys you have to check few things. if u keep wifi,bluetooth,gps, high screen brithness, 3g always on then battery will drain out very quick, chk the above said options i am sure you will gain battery power. wen i have moderate use i get easy 2.5 days, only calls, sms , and little internet i get 3 days, and heavy use i still manage 2 days.

I gauged my battery usage with Internet on and downloading with 10% per 4 hours running with One Power Guard. If I were you, and you have made the mistake of updating to 4.1.2, you can download the original 4.1.1 firmware for the Note II from sammobile.com. You can specifically load the country firmware and it's about 1GB worth. Learn from YouTube.
You can load the original firmware in order to make your warranty still valid if there is hardware issues you wanted fixed. There's no way of telling if you had rooted it before. You just note down the firmware's serial code to get the right one.
Another way of prolonging your battery is with Juice Defender by scheduling your radio syncing with longer intervals and it turns off bluetooth, wifi and GPS signals for you after an idle period.

sometime its hanged in between while using skype and screen goes black.Can anybody en-light me on this issue and one more issue digital compass doesn't give the correct direction as the Apple Iphone does it.I would request to the Samsung company to be more accurate in precession of the gadgets on the Samsung Note II.To make it different from Smart phone. I hope its making sense.

I can still get through a day on a single charge but no longer than that. I would say the battery life is 60-70% of what it was.
The drain is most noticeable when not using it. The more people that kick up a stink the more likely it is that Samsung will fix it!
DON'T INSTALL 4.1.2 IF YOU WANT GREAT BATTERY LIFE.
The other problem is that i have to disable wifi power saving in service mode every time i reboot my phone or i cant connect to wifi.

When i turn my mobile Data it does not come ON. Only way to make it work is to restart the phone. This happens at time. Is there a way to make it work without restart.

oh man this list is long... simple is that..if you can manage size (and its has worth) then you will do a huge mistake to regret Note 2...Its totaly a different device...you can not imagine that how powefull is this device...HTC+ is ordinary type of phone like all other phones of Quad core from different manufacturers...but many people including me love the Htc sense..For this purpose i already have htc sensation XL....

I've convinced 6 people to get the first Note than an iPhone as they saw the potential of doing more. Now, I managed to start convincing people to sell off their iPhone 5 to get the Note II. The iP5 is surprisingly very expensive at $750 to $1000 for something that is a mid-functioning restricted unit at only 16GB capacity.
The iPhone 5 just looks nice. I like the thin profile. But that's about everything I can compliment about it.
