[deleted post]The guy is right, just disable the double tap function of the home key, the one that opens s voice and you will not lag anymore when you press the home button. Go to menu, s voice, settings and disable it.

What is the final update build for Samsung Galaxy Note II. When I check for update it says - 'Access to the software update service is provided to users in the order in which they request it. Try later.' What to do?

The home button delay is there for a reason. Even my dead grandmother know that. Deactivate Doble click on home button in S-settings to remove the delay.

jaynett, 30 Dec 2012hy guys, does this phone as responsice and fast as the ipho... moreUser interface and responsiveness are so weakly linked in Note II. It is a very fast device in performing computational tasks, I'd say much much faster than an Iphone 5. Multitasking is fantastic. Things run fast once they're started. However in terms of responsiveness of user interface there's no doubt about it, Iphone 5 as well as 4s rules. Note II and S3 have a certain lag. Pressing the home button for example could take you as long as two seconds to reach the home screen. Sometimes it happens in less than one second, other times it takes ages. Funny thing it's not related to cpu load or memory load. You have to live with it, in time the other qualities ot Note II will make you forget about this issue. I also have the Galaxy Nexus with 4.1.1 stock rom and find the responsiveness of interface much better than that of the Note II, following butter thing update almost as smooth as the Iphone's. Maybe it's the wizz touch ux, maybe something else, it has a certain lag. But do not confuse this with processing power. Note II and to a certain extent S3 imho are the most powerful pocket computers on the market now. Did not try Motorolas and LGs though. Here's a nice clip with the power of a Note II, I honestly doubt you can torture an Iphone, any Iphone like that and still get things running. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nh2NSLgaII&feature=youtube_gdata_player

jaynett, 30 Dec 2012hy guys, does this phone as responsice and fast as the ipho... moreOnly those who have not try out IP5 would tell u Note 2 is as smooth & fast as IP5.
After I have try out IP5 vs Note 2 & IPad 4 vs Note 10.1, I no longer dare to brag about my Android phone in front of IOS user.

How can we upgrade it? And how many hours does it take to complete the download in normal wi.fi ? Is it dangerous if the download is not done properly ?
