My phone (Samsung Galaxy Note - II) is not even two years old but is giving a lot of problems. This phone started giving problems quite early but then most of it started after expiry of its one year of warranty period. Their was a short inside its charging compartment so I had to get that replaced. The cost was approx Rs 1500/-. I cant use the earphones because there is some problem in the motherboard, which the service personal wants me to change (cost approx 6000 to 7000). Its glass has cracked once it fell (damage another 6000 to 7000). I have started having problems in the charge of the phone, even if I had got the charging compartment replaced just about 3 months back.
Now I have an option of either spend at least another Rs 14000 and get it repaired and use it for may be another one year (i hope) or trash the phone and buy one of the cheaper models available today. I had spent Rs 32000/- to buy this device on its great reviews but today I am greatly disillusioned. I had expected this device to last at least 2-3 years without any problems. It was a costly buy for me being in the army. We keep getting posted to difficult areas and require a phone which needs minimum maintenance. My previous phones (nokia and motorola) always have been true to this need and I have used them for at least 3-4 years each.
The result is I am fed up with Samsung now. I may never buy a Samsung mobile again. It has been a total waste.

k, 26 Oct 2014How? Please tell us too.You should enter to forum.xda com, and find the note2 talks category from developers and learn how to use "odin" app on your pc to crack the start boot of your note2 and download the room from there you prefer to root your note2, it's not difficult!

I thought about to bay better phone than this beauty phone, i checked note 3 that is nice looking, but no way...beieve me that i bought one more new note2, and i will sell or give to a friend my other one.
My both note2 are rooted with "ultra note2 v1.2" room.

ha, I faced problems after 4.4.2 update, I showed it to care but they somehow showed me that everything is normal. I faced problem with bluetooth and processing became slow and sluggish. when I asked them to downgrade to jellybean. They told me that downgrade to jellybean cannot be installed after 4.4.2 update. I asked from local shops. one of them agreed to do that to 4.3 for nominal premium. now my note 2 is again working like a charm and all issues fled away and away after 4.3 downgrade. this is the only trouble my note2 ever gave me since I'm using it from last one year. that day became quite hectic for me.

Are we going to get android 5.0? If i recall correctly, samsung promised that the note 2 will be updated to kitkat (which we already have) and after that to the newest version that follows it (5.0).

bablu, 23 Oct 2014y z snapdragon z beter than exynos?No exynos is more powerfull than snapdragon note 2 is powered by exynos 4412 prime chipset better than 4412 on s3 and snapdragon krait quad on nexus 4 or xperia z but the krait gpu 320 is little but stronger than mali400mp4 which is quad core better than mali400 on s3 as a short it is compareable to snapdragon 600 on htc one
