This model with me getting 4years, just beginning hang 1 or 2 times, after that it's slow but don't hang. What I have done to the phone is, I remove the app called SAMSUNG or GALAXY. Last year I bought one note 8, after compulsory upgrade, the phone drain battery very fast, 1 night over, drained 10%; And, the RAM increase a lot, +/- 600MB suddenly jump up to +/- 1.4GB. After I remove the Galaxy app (old android version called 'Samsung'), the RAM dropped to +/-500MB, and battery just drop 1%, the next day morning.

my own is samsung note 1 Gt-N7000 is not up to 16gb it is only 2gb

I'm using the nightly build of CyanogenMod 11.0 (cm11)
Cyanogen has a reputation for being fast. 11 means the 11th letter of the alphabet, which is K, i.e KitKat. https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=n7000
