when this update will be available through kies....whenever i want to update firmware over the air it always show failed to update firmware due to network or server problem....pls give me solution

There’s great news for Samsung Galaxy Note users in India! I had just received an Over the Air update on my Samsung Galaxy Note this morning, which was about 85.07 MB big and claimed to improve stability of the device.This update is actually a variant of the XXLRQ update.he great news is that some of those features are now also available on the Galaxy Note, thanks to this update. This features are “Direct Call” and “Lock-screen Rotate to open Camera.” The gallery app has been redesigned entirely. The gallery app now looks like the one we will find on the Galaxy Note 2, but without “Airview” support. It has Grid view, Timeline view, and Spiral view options, along with a new animation for slideshows.The pop-up play now has re-sizable windows and the contact list layout has been changed slightly. You can now merge contacts in the S-Cloud (like Google contacts). Samsung has also added more bloatware including ChatOn and Flipboard. With the addition comes some subtraction as well. The game “Crayon Physics,” pre-installed and unremovable till now, can now be uninstalled through the uninstall option in the app drawer.

I have following issues after update
1. How to add folders in apps menu.
2. How make camera work in lock screen feature.
3. How to enable various lock screen features like swipe., facelick etc.
Please reply asap

Got an update for my Samsung Galaxy Note. I love my phablet more than before. I made the phone completly like Samsung Galaxy S3. I was actually planning to get an S3 for myself, but after the update it is much better than S3. Anyways there is no phone available in the market that can still match the screen resolution of the Samsung Galaxy Note N-7000 which is 800 x 1280 pixels.
Try it out guys. The following are among the biggest players in the current smartphone world.
iPhone 4 - 640 x 960 pixels
iPhone 4S - 640 x 960 pixels
Samsung Galaxy S3 - 720 x 1280 pixels
HTC One X - 720 x 1280 pixels
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - 720 x 1280 pixels
Nokia Lumia 920 - 768 x 1280 pixels
Sony Xperia S - 720 x 1280 pixels
and even the biggest loser
iPhone 5 - 640 x 1136 pixels

And yes, you need a good network connectivity, and for upgrading to 4.0.4, you may be asked to use Kies to do that. Also make sure you don't lose internet connection, or connection from your PC to the phone or else you may brick your phone and requires a complete restore. And usually, they will ask you to send it back to vendor (unless you know how to reinsert stock ROM into the phone).

Stev, 19 Sep 2012Lame phone. After 1 months of using it, No root, no any app... moreI have a G Note. Root has been available for months. 32MB microSD works fine. As does the OTA upgrade to ICS 4.04. If you're on stock Samsung ICS firmware, don't do a factory reset. There is a problem with the Note's memory chip firmware and a factory reset on stock ICS could damage or brick your phone. If you had really been to XDA developers forums, you would have seen explicit warnings abouth this. Regarding the phone rebooting, it is a very rare problem, and only likely to happen if you have tried to install different firmware and have messed the process up. The solution is on XDA. The XDA search funtion is your friend. There are no stupid phones, only stupid ....... .

Hi I'm from India and I have updated to international version XXLRQ 4.0.4. Firmware and the another update is from India DDLR9 4.0.4.firmware. So is their any difference between these two updates or I should update to DDLR9. Plz help me out...thanks.

The latest update of 85MB among the last 3 updates is the best one.
So many notable changes and experience have definitely enhanced.

I'm also facing the same problem but now I've solution .I'd install blackmart alpha in my phone which allows you to install all paid apps for free and it gives apk file. search on 4shared.

I updated my note with a new 86 mb firmware addition early this morning. There is really some write factor in my Galaxy Note now. Thank you Samsung.

I got an update of 85 MB (i guess)couple of days back..after installing the update gallery and menu screen has changed like S3 and Note 2..touch sensitivity s fast and smooth..Thanks for the update Samsung. Cheers!!
