Ah, my initial findings on the 4.0.4 update has given back the battery longevity as I was getting on 2.3.6. The previous 4.0.3 was really more power hungry.

Hi there! I'm so glad that my galaxy note got another update yesterday. My galaxy note was already ice cream 4.0.4 but after the update its build number became Imm76d.dxlr5. I don't know what are the changelog after the update. Here in PHILIPPINES

Nick, 09 Aug 2012hey people who have updated 4.0.4 can u plz tell me any imp... moreI don't see any improve for battery after I upgraded it but it has more problem on perf ormance, speed and its compartible with standard software.. I want to downgrade it to its pre sandwich os.

how is the video recording quality?

I just upgraded my note to 4.0.4 here in India but can't see pop-up video player? Anyone know how to enable/use it?

The Android 4.0.4 official update for the Galaxy Note has added two distinct features - signature smartphone unlocking and the pop-up video player (officially first integrated with the S III). The signature unlock gives a bit more security that the pattern unlock and I find it quicker using a simple gesture with a thumb.
One feature I wanted that was not included with the 4.0.4 update was the smart stay. There is the ISeeYou app (keeps your screen on while it uses the secondary camera to recognize your face)I used until I found out ISeeYou was disrupting the HDMI feed to my HD TV, causing occasional green banding on video playback, and rampant errors when I turn on the camera mode.
Fair warning to those who have IseeYou app to best keep it off only when needed.

I have a note which is mostly used by the service centre guys for all there R&D than myself. When somebody calls me they always complain of hearing their own voice twice, as good as an echo. I have changed sims, tried in different places, replaced the mic of the phone, speaker of the phone, motherboard on the phone. Then the service centre guys tried for a replacement but samsung rejected it. I got in touch with the Area Sales Manager and he has again instructed his guys to replace the motherboard & the display, I am not sure how this is going to work.
