good phone - but i stay about 8 second when i get the contacts, log and dial pad - i don't know why - if any one have solving for this issue kindly post or email me on: mohamedsamirelbaramony@yahoo.com
i have two galaxy note, for me and my wife - the each have the same contacts delay problem.
i saw different between the two:
my galaxy note: the screen in white color is not clear if compared with the second G. note
my galaxy note:the camera flash is strongest than the second G. note
my galaxy note: made in Vietnam and the other made by Samsung
but i saw the third galaxy note one with my friend made in Vietnam with same color of my second G.note (white color is clear).

the S-pen can only be used with Galaxy Note. i thought the pen will also work with bigger samsung galaxy tablets.

Been owning it since Nov '11 and it has been a dream come true! Everything is great given its sheer size.
After ICS update, the battery was really bad but after a few restarts and a couple of days later, it sort of 'neutralizes' itself back to normal. At the moment, the battery life is slightly better than with 2.3 GB OS.
Overall, I'm loving the new ICS look & feel, though I wish TouchWiz won't be the integral feature.. I noticed Samsung took away the ability to adjust brightness on the notification bar, which was something I found nifty and very handy. Also, in the 'Contacts', they removed the log button, which is now only available under 'Phone'. Lastly, it would be great if they could merge both S Memo with S Note.. Kind of redundant to have both - gives the user a little hard time which to use when taking down notes...

hd videos look vivid and crisp on the galaxy note large screen. the washed out black would appear on low resolution video files. white will not look pure white on the amoled screen of the note. when viewed on a different angle, i noticed a vapor-lamp yellowish tint, when tilted the other way, the tint would appear flourescent-bluish. when the brightness is set to low, white background is grayish. compared to my galaxy tab 8.9, white is white from different viewing angles or brightness settings. it's because the sgt uses a pls-tft lcd screen.

the galaxy note is really a power-hungry device, though the brightness setting was set to about 25% and bluetooth and gps were off, when connected to 3G (WCDMA) network for mobile web browsing the battery would drain fast, in 2 hours the phone ate up around 30% of battery. how much more when wifi connected i can imagine.
honeycomb browser on my samsung galaxy tab 8.9 is still the fastest browser on 3G and considering the facebook and most sites are in desktop mode.

Just finished the update to ICS via OTA update. Will comment about battery later.
I will say that so far the phone runs alot smoother and for me the new default browser is probably even better than opera and even dolphin!

what do you think about 5.5 inch screen in Note2-1680*1050pix-8mpx camera-and....that now are in the news?i realy want to see how they change Tw5 for 5.5inch display.
