      Hi All,
I checked via OTA on software update on my GALAXY NOTE few days ago and guess what? I now has an additional numeric button on the fifth rows (top) on the samsung virtual keyboard. I am so happy. This is not ICS update. Just a build update I guess. Try it for those of you who haven't done so.

There is no need after seeing all the torture tests on YouTube. Galaxy Note has even the Gorilla Glass 2, which is even much tougher. I'm waiting for Otter's rubberized Community series instead. The sides and back are more proned to dents and scratches than the screen glass! I want those corner bumper protection.

Smart Lock Lite is an Application & Media locking app. It's not a replacement messaging app. You can keep your Handcent Sms app with you. Just use the Smart Lock Lite app to lock your apps like Facebook, Email, Handcent, etc.
You can also lock Media such as Images & Videos using Smart Lock Lite. Once locked, the images & videos would only appear inside the Smart Lock Lite app and not in your gallery.

I hope you got what I have been tring to convey!

Ask the shopkeeper for a non-matte finish screen guard. He'll give you one that is completely transparent and doesn't affect your viewing angles & screen quality.
Look for Casemate or iAccy screen protectors. You can get one for about $3-4. Moreover, they help reduce reflections and some which are of higher quality don't even get smudges.
So, go give it a try. It really doesn't affect your visual experience & $3-4 isn't too much IMO!

I have been using this phone for a month now! i'm really happy with it! but the battery runs out a little quicker ( may because i keep the brightness 100% + bluetooth headset ON + data services ON). and one more problem is that sometimes you find it difficult to type with one just one hand, because of the big screen, but hopefully that issue will be solved with the next update as i heard it features "one hand keypad". Rest the phone is awesome, the Super AMOLED display is great, i found it much better then the one in S2, S-Pen is of great use + its fun!! and it will get a upgrade for ICS 4.0! so go for it!!

anonimated, 23 Jan 2012...we, the customers demand for a 5000mAh battery for Galax... moreThere is a 5000 mAh extra battery you can order from ebay, and it comes with a thickened back cover. My only problem with it is that the setup doubles the thickness of the Note. Instead, I got 2 extra original 2500 mAH and the original separate desk stand battery charger specifically for the Note. A heavy usage time for one charge is about 6 to 7 hours before changing to a fresh battery. I usually get 18 hours with just above 10% of battery left for moderate usage on one charge, but for really heavy usage and good battery charging cycle practices that needs the batteries to be totally drained before charging, it's worth the effort. Ever wonder why they keep telling you to turn off your phone while charging sometimes?

This keeps your Galaxy Note practically unplugged and you don't worry about running out of power. Fixed battery smart phones like the iPhone and Galaxy Nexus are disadvantaged with you looking for a place to plug in. I just carry the extra flat batteries and sometimes never bother carrying the wired charger.

The reason why the iPhone is sealed is probably hardware security. Jobs did not want his creation being disassembled and that is why you bother plugging to charge it even though it boasts having longer battery stamina usage. I just don't understand Samsung followed the same setup with the Galaxy Nexus, though.
