People complain that u can't use with one hand but prity much the only thing u cant reach is the far side of the keyboard and the majority of ppl I know would use there 2 thumbs to type anyway. Plus for this fussy ppl out there Samsung will be soon releasing an update to enable an option to have a keypad which would take up a smaller portion of the screen on either left or ryt hand side so it could be fully used with just one hand.

The Galaxy Note has Gorilla glass. Most likely even Gorilla Glass 2, as far as when Corning introduced Gorilla Glass 2 last January 10 link I've posted before. Here is the link that finally confirms this fact:

      www.corninggorillaglass.com/products-with-gorilla/full-products-list

This brings me more peace of mind not having to add a screen protector. Well worth getting.

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2012hey guys i wanna buy this phone but i have some questions f... moreIt came with the Polaris Office app that reads, edits and creates spreadsheets, word, and slide shows. You can install the Note with the Autodesk AWS that reads cad and toy can slightly edit with a limited degree. The screen size is very convenient for reading and drawing, but you can pocket it. I read that you can transmit what you have on the Note's screen to certain wifi connected protectors like Toshiba for presentations. You just need to download the exact app. Or you can get the HDMI connector or wirelessly transmit to a wifi ready TV.

AnonD-3112, 22 Jan 2012Well, talking about SIM contacts, you do have an option to ... moreThere you go. The S pen is not so useless as you make it sound, therefore it's not just a "gimmick". I can operate all the Note's features with just my finger or thumb on its screen. The S pen was developed by Wacom, the company who provides those professional grade graphic tablets for digital drawing. I find that it makes different line values since the S pen senses small pressure levels, making drawing look more fluidly natural as drawing with pencil on paper. It's hard to do finer line details with just a finger. I strongly recommend the Note for my fellow architects, as our language is through drawings half the time. You can always stick to the Galaxy S II if you don't need a bigger screen and you don't sketch.

AnonD-38531, 21 Jan 2012Hello all note users, i want to buy this superphone but i a... moreWell, talking about SIM contacts, you do have an option to import them to phone memory on both, Gaalaxy SII & Galaxy Note.
Talking about the S-Pen, I would like to tell you that you cannot rest your hand on the screen as it's a multi-touch panel and will read it as a multi-touch. More so, you cannot write on the Galaxy Note just like you would on a paper because it's a glass surface which lacks the friction that helps you write on paper. If you're thinking about using this phone as a notepad, then I'm sorry you won't be able to do just that. Besides, the S-Pen is actually just a gimmick used by Samsung. Of course, it adds new features like drawing/photo editing and screen snapshot, but there is nothing in it that you can't do without!

Consider buying the Galaxy Note only if you have real big hands 'cause what I've got to know so far is that most people struggle to type on the keyboard single-handedly even in the portrait mode.

Does anyone know why this device hasn't a 64GB memory? Is samsung going to do this at a future date?
                          Thanks.

AnonD-38531, 21 Jan 2012Hello all note users, i want to buy this superphone but i a... moreNo, the S pen is not a gimmick. No extra pressure needed. Of course you affect the screen with you're finger while using the S pen. Here is a sample of a drawing of Batman I did with using my Note, Sketchbook Mobile app and the S pen:

                            www.flickr.com/photos/janeilarlegui/6496443243/in/photostream

You will have a harder time do sometime like this accurately, especially the lines with just your finger.I'll post more elaborate portraits once I find time. You can still use the S pen for the Swype, letter typing, and hand recognition to encode text, practically what your finger can do as well.

reiza, 21 Jan 2012where is better, note or nexus? anyone explain it.... thxI preferred to buy the Samsung Galaxy Note than the Samsung Nexus because there are a lot of features and advantages the Galaxy Note has such as screen size, memory card expansion, note and many more. Despite the Ice Cream Sandwich which the Galaxy Note will soon have and blow away the Nexus. The Samsung Galaxy Note is the Best device presently.

Guys i have used gs2 9100 and now i got the note... But i really want my old phone back cuz this one is just too big. And its a big problem to make phone calls while u driving... Another cons is my phone reboots alot of times by itself and idk why that happens. The touch screen is not that great sometimes it jsut presses the other buttons... But it might be because of my screen protector idk. But all i wanna say is that my gs2 worked whey better than this phone it was more comfortable to use.... I regret about switching.. But watching videos on this screen is jsut fantastic and browsing on the internet is more fun...

Hello all note users, i want to buy this superphone but i am in doubt about few things. I wud be grateful if u all can shed some light on it:

                                    1) Can it display sim card contacts? S2 can't display sim card contacts, only phone contacts. I believe that software on S2 & note is identical.

                                    2) While writing/drawing using Spen, does one need to apply extra pressure on the Spen to get the line on the screen. I mean can we write/draw normally as we do on paper or it requires more pressure to get the line on screen as compared to using a pen on paper.

                                    3) If i am writing/drawing on screen using Spen then what will happen if some part of my hand touches the screen. I mean can i rest my hand while using the Spen or it needs to stay in air, bcoz in a natural writing using pen paper our hands does rest on paper while we write, don't we.

To cut a long story short, is it possible to write/draw on the note naturally like we do on paper. Is the Spen just a gimmick by samsung or it can be used properly & naturally like an ordinary pen.

guys please answer accurately. Ur answers help me to decide whether to spend a mini fortune & buy this device or not. Thanks in advance.
