May be you have installed some software that facilitate annoucement of name when call comes.
Which is that software? or otherwise if it is bult -in, then how it can be activated?
To me, this seems to be useful feature.

Kavachi, 19 Jan 2012I find out the galaxy note RAM usage has been consumed a lo... moreI stopped monitoring and releasing the RAM manually when I realize it does not go below 230 mb out of the 800 mb. It's locked with a network, and I have no plans of rooting it to uninstall some of the unwanted apps. I just stop worrying about it and never encountered running out of RAM unlike my previous lower Android phone.

i tried to download the skype app on my galaxy note but somehow it doesnt. It just says loading. My service provider is loop. Can anyone tell me how I can do so?

Kavachi, 19 Jan 2012I find out the galaxy note RAM usage has been consumed a lo... morein comparision to the S2 where note shares the same platform. there is no way it will be slower than S2 despite of having a better processor. it may be the difference of the applications installed on both the phones because of which u are noticing the difference, u can try installing an application like juice defender which will monitor the apps running in background & will keep closing them, also u may give a ful reboot to ur phone once in couple of days, that keeps ur phone healthier & fast.

I find out the galaxy note RAM usage has been consumed a lot, and when I open the task manager that there are a lot of app is running at the back ground, so I feel the galaxy note is slower than galaxy s2 even if it is 1.4g dual core. could anyone explain me the reason or any advice? I try to close the app which runs at the back ground, but it still keep access a lot or RAM usage.

AnonD-16865, 18 Jan 2012can someone explain why corning list does not show note??? ... morehi. i wonder why do u need help in this. the reason corning list does not show note is because note does not come with gorilla glass. there are just rumours of note coming with gorilla glass but actually it does not. check the samsung.com for the complete specs u can also check note in wikipedia which will give u the right answers. & need not to worry the glass used in this is also a high quality glass & will do the same job of gorilla glass.

for all the happy noters i contacted samsung support center both UK and china concerning the KIES , I have posted samsung reply to me what i am confused about and hope some of you experts can decipher for me is how are we supposed to use KIES my understanding was that downloading it from Samsung website automatically would connect and have full use of it , i was not aware samsung kies is country dependent no where did i read that kies would not work ,that it was supported by the country of residence ,yes Samsung downloads other then the language are pretty much the same everywhere samsungs cells are sold ,i am sensing sammy is doing the same thing they did for out past flagship the I8910 never any support or updates,my previous samsung cell phone all came with the 2 Cds one for maps the other for pc studio.I am begining to think sammy fooled us again. i plan on pursuing this issue with Sammy,anyone else experiencing this Kies problem?? would appreciate a reply thnks

jojoba, 18 Jan 2012are you sure? how active is you hands on the galaxy note? i... moreMine lasts around 7 hours usage on very heavy usage- continuous (with various combinations of) Bluetooth, 3G, wifi, torrent downloading, surfing, gaming, watching and editing spreadsheets. Carrying an extra battery just lets you not worry about battery usage, and so I just put the pedal down. Why have a powerful unit when you worry about a fixed battery that needs to be plugged in for 4 hours? Get the $25 extra battery and the $20 charger to charge when you get home. You can stay wireless all day!

can someone explain why corning list does not show note??? does note have gorrilla glass.????? some place on net it says yes but on gsm arena not mentioned too. now in india note is 32k n gs2 for 30k. plz help. absence of gorrilla glass info is holding me back to buy this phone. help help!!!!!!!!!!

After lot of surfing about the review i got my new samsung note... As i seen in all the reviews Note is simply stunning B-)..whoever sees ur mobile gonna say "ur mobile is awesome"..its display s tht much impressive..Camera? Its is too much fr a phone to have this wonderful camera!!! Picture quality will b better thn wat u expect...you can buy this mobile without worries...i got a a problem recently...am using vodafone india network Whenever i connect to internet and if a page is loading and at the same time some one is trying to call me,thy get a beep tone fr few seconds thn call get disconnected with error message saying "not reachable". I got panic and changed the network settings and it still didnt work.. Later i checked with other network sim in my mobile(docomo,airtel) there was no problem with those sim...so ultimately problem is with VODAFONE..contacted them and thy are not ready fix my problem...

Why would Samsung not put Gorilla glass like the S II, Tab variants, or Nexus? Screen guards messes up the whites of the Note's HD Super AMOLED screen. I tried 2 different ones and just took them off as they made it harder to see in daylight. Don't waste money on those-there is no need to put screen guards!

I don't see logic of the complaints of having it smaller. Get an S II variation close to that size. The point of having more than 5" screen is to be bigger with a Tab's resolution for easy reading yet you can still pocket it. The PenTile specs does not matter so much. Tell us, do you honestly physically see the difference with what is an HD Super AMOLED and a Super AMOLED Plus? if anyone can afford to buy this phone, if they want the USB connection, HDMI wired connector, and all the other common accessories like the desktop charger stand, extra battery, then they can spend a few extras for those extra things. You can still connect to other machines and/or accessories like mouse or keyboards wirelessly with Bluetooth or wifi. The Note is guaranteed the Android 4 OS update early this year, officially stated by Samsung. It already has a GPU! It already has a "near professional grade" camera! You should read more or just get one!
