Hi folks I upgraded to Note after using S2 for 6 months. I would say its a brilliant experience when the screen becomes bigger to watch movies or browse the web. I would say the best thing about Note is its battery life. Its amazing. With moderate use u can expect upto 5 days standby with little of browsing and music say 15 min everyday. If u r a heavy user expect 24 hours. This battery life is massive when u compare it with S2. It does not heat up as much as S2. But display clarity was much better when watching video in S2 because Note uses pentile matrix while S2 was super amoled plus. This is the only drawback I see in the Note. If u r an artist or if u can draw cartoons the Note can be used along with the SPen for true to life drawings. This is way too cool. About portability I think it is pocketable but expect a little bulge in ur pant or jeans pocket. I typed this entire review in my Note. U will never regret buying the Note until Samsung comes with S3. Enjoy.

I had the iPhone4, which is a great machine, but I decided to upgrade to a bigger screen. Although scared of its size at the beginning, the Note is the best phone/tablet I ever had. The Android is a bit more complex than iOS but once you get to know it (takes 2-3 days) it is powerful and more fun. The Note has the most amazing screen, decent battery life for its size (lasts like iPhone's), the Android market has no shortcomings to Apple's and the hands on experience of the 5.3" screen is unsurpassed. Now I see my friends struggling on their 3.5" and 4.3" and I laugh. If you can live with its size the Note is the king. To be honest I haven't worked on the 4.7" to see if that is a better combination of size to compactness.

Only a handful of users can appreciate that the Galaxy Note's size is that of a passport or a small A6 notebook. Dell failed to envisioned that form factor and power into the design of the Streak 5". G Note fits ok into most shirt top pockets.

This is the first thing I noticed, as I work a lot with notebooks with this size. Hence Samsung coined it the Note, I guess.

I've been sketching on-location with it for over a week now and have posted my works online quickly. Happy so far with the few apps that let me do this. This was what I imagined "pocket PCs" 10 years ago to be able to do, but they were thick, limited resolution, short powered and limited apps.

This unit goes beyond the mere gaming power it offers and let us professionals enhance our work. Its a nice tool to behold, and Samsung did a good job making it for us.

if it is, it's not foult, cost G Note amoled display uses pentil metrix technology instead of reguler RPG metrix technology that's y it's in blue colour on an slider angle like SGS. If not it's foult.

Ive had my note for 4 days and i must say im already used to the size, my misses desire hd seems far too small to use now like a dull poorly lit toy. My only concern about the size is that i will not want to go smaller now so i hope samsung and other manufacturers continue to produce these beasts. Although its super fast browsing, when a page is loaded if i zoom in and scroll down fast i get a checkerboard pattern untill the picture catches up. This is only for a split second but is a bit annoying. Apperently its a phone fault and i will get a replacement, has anyone else had this issue?

AnonD-32299, 30 Nov 2011is this one better or HTC sensation XE ?!!!If your HTC Sensation XE supports 4G speed at 21Mbps and web flash player then it would be a match.

If not, then say goodbye to HTC Sensation XE...

varun, 29 Nov 2011galaxy note is smart- phone but what about battery life or ... morebattery life will always be a problem to a smartphone nowadays. as simple as that!

its always gonna be a dilemma. people wanna use latest smartphone with latest technology here n there, especially latest advance LCD n processor. but then they will not enjoy all the features all @ once in order to prevent the battery to drain too quickly, for instance, some adjustment have to be made like adjust brigtness to the lowest possible, animation off, connection off, application closed, use flash as needed, auto rotation off, etc etc, yup something like those things. as a result, we wont be enjoying the coolest thing about the HD LCD because we try to preserve the battery. such a dilemma: enjoy all features @ once but only for couple hours coz battery will drain fast OR dont enjoy features coz need to adjust function n lcd here n there for a longer battery life!

another possible solution: buy back up batteries and replace it back n forth everytime the device drain out off battery, though still can experience all features @ once all day long!

                                pick your choice!
