geee...some of ya all need to chill....its a good device still....very innovative if you ask me....a perfect device for those who want a phone AND tablet at the same time....dont understand what you guys still complaining about
Screen resolution is just for geeks to jerk off...Your eyes wont tell a difference on what you are seeing unless your eyes are designed to see every single pixel...Let your eyes do the talking,hands do the feeling and then only judge...this device is going to create a new host of creativeness
Also at Apple....lets see you try answering to this device...Are you going to borrow this concept as well?

Have been dreaming of a 5inch phone and a tablet. I am going to buy this as soon as it's out in the market. Good job Samsung. I have the 5 inch dell, but the gingerbread update is nowhere near and the leather case is very difficult to find. I'll just keep the DELL for standby.

Ppl who can't read or understand the specs should not even consider buying this since they are not smart enough for the smartphone. Anyway, this phone rocks but waiting for another model from samsung (i9250 maybe?)

This phone has the resolution of a Macbook Pro 13" but screen size just 5.3" therefore gives you a higher density, i.e. image will be sharper, just like you are reading print ink on newspaper vs ebook

I already bought a Galaxy tab 10.1, if there is a device that I will give up my HD2 for it will be this one,the screen size is just idle for me.Just keep the price reasonable.

Samsung needs to make tough slip on covers for all it phones...
Rain , mud , water proof .... slip it on in the outdoors and slip it off in the board room

actually... I'm not even sure about the subpixel amount anymore, because I seem to be getting contradicting information (from the official page of super amoled and from the user reviews and what I can see from pictures), and I swear I've been looking into this for weeks now, but at any rate, the galaxy note display seems pretty okay from the highest res pic I could get my hands on, so I guess it's only half bad.
it also doesn't seem too big for my hand, though I have my doubt about certain pockets (but then again, smartphones are usually pretty big, and are supposed to be so I can't complain about that

yes, but it's the less obtrusive kind of pentile, the one with 8 subpixels, not the one with only 2 (that's how moronola ruined the droid3).
so the screen should still look amazing

I personally am only curious about them having said they will make a bluetooth keyboard specially for this device, since I kinda wanted a slide smartphone, but w/e this phone is just too awesome

More than looking at the fact that its just Super AMOLED, wat ppl r really missing out here is the resolution. N this phone has some impressive stats when it comes to that. So the screen should look very impressive.
