Anonymous, 25 Jan 2017Had to get this phone as a last min thing. I ask for the ph... moreI absolutely agree. Like 1,000,000% camera quality is awful. It makes everything look darker than what it seems. I always have to delete stuff off this phone to add other apps to it. People should not buy this phone, unless you only use phones to call, and doesn't download stuff and take pictures.

Basically it is a piece of problematic junk. With tech support answer to everything is "Factory Reset". Which 98% does not solve issue but loss of data.

And no third party apps by the way. So cant blame those.
No downloaded apps besides stuff that came with phone. And its the same issue with each Samsung prodyluct, each time with promise "Oh this one is better and no issues" three times wasted money on Samsung products but no more.

Volume randomly go all over the place with headphones plugged in. Sometimes just randomly go low and then spam the ringtone volume bar. Other times it go full blast. The headphones? Ah, first thought, but all range os set of headphones same issue. But same headphones have no such issue on non samsung products.

Freeze ups galore, dropped calls, mobile netaork and wifi randomly cutting on and off. Each update make the phone go nuts unusuable until yet another factory reset (the only issue factory reset fix...until the next update).

Slow chaging battey. Oh yeah batteries get slow but after three months? With stock charger? Then sometimes the phones does not charge at all. Tech support solution? Yup ya guessed it. Factory reset and not once solved the issue. Yet same charger charges other phones up some much older with much older batteries with no issues and swiftly.

Then call quality sucks. Even traded with another that had LG and same carrier as me, no issue and can actually hear phone convo clearly. And this is for all three samsung phones owned.

And the list goes on. Do not buy. And Samsung is not going to fool me again. Once, ok. Twice, probably shouldnt happen twice. Three times, I would be a fool to do it again. They seem to have no interest in improving their products and probably still will make money off of selling junk, but it will not be any of mine ever again.

I had a galaxy grand prime for a long time... and thought I would be getting a slight upgrade with the On5... boy was I wrong. The specs are better on the On5... so I assumed it was a logical choice.

Both phones are from Tmobile... and come bundled with the same bloatware software... but the On5 no longer allows you to uninstall these bloatware apps completely the way you could with the Grand Prime.

The phone is garbage... slow... laggy right out of box... and u have a very small amount of storage space to work with.

Keyboard lags during fast input... applications with fps run at a fraction of the speed of the grand prime.

The Grand Prime weighs more... and thats probably because it is using real working technology instead of plastic economy garbage inside of the On5

I have 2 ON 5's - Work pretty well - I began getting notices that I am running out of RAM -
I deleted some of the apps and that went away - I understand 16gb is more usable - I have a SIM card that holds data & pics so that's good - A directional app for a compass will not work with this phone - The Bluetooth has become a question, in my car it cuts in and out recently, it worked initially and then this started, I don't know if it is the Acura or the phone - My wife's Azera had a similar problem but it's pretty steady now - I am considering upgrading to Samsung's J3 Emerge

This phone is crap I can't download any new apps or take new pictures without it saying not enough storage. I have no new apps and no pictures in my gallery to even delete. I'm always having to delete catches data and I have an Sd card for the phone but the apps won't stay. I'm so going back to my iPhone 5s it never gave me trouble.

The other comments aren't kidding. This thing is starved for processing power and storage space. Comes bloated as is usual, and you can turn off whatever you want, and the available space is still pitiful. I turned off EVERYTHING that wasn't essential, run CCleaner every time I turn the screen on, and it still complains about "Not enough space/limited functionality".

Sound quality is good, when it's not dropping your calls. Full service? Yep. Wifi call capable? Sure. Drops you 3 minutes into the call, and sometimes won't let you call at all due to "Service Unavailable" BS? Yes....

I chose this phone bc I don't want a huge device stuck in my pocket all day. If I want to look at a large screen, I'll use my laptop or tablet.

Avoid at all costs. If you get it as a prepaid bc it's cheap and gets you by, that's different. If you're paying good money for a contract and this phone is in your hand, gently, no, FORCEFULLY put this back on the shelf, and walk away from it.

I got this Galaxy On5 phone for free from Net10. Unable to make SD card storage into internal storage. Not sure about the signal strength in remote areas. Does anyone know how to make the portable media into internal storage!

I got this phone free from Net10 and it does not pick up in areas (out of service range) in areas that my phone that was five years old picked up. Very disappointed. I am going to get my old phone reactivated

I got this phone absolutely free from Net10. I was suspicious as there is no such thing as free, this wasn't any different. It is unusable. It has 8gb of on board memory and almost every kb is used with Samsung bloat wear. You cannot remove it. There is an option to add an sd card, however this added sd card cannot be formatted as internal memory. This option is removed from the version of Marshmellow. Also none of the apps can be moved to the SD card. So even as a free device it is worthless. It is Net10s attempt to get a user like me, one that has brought there own phone into their restrictive set of rules. Also removed is the ability to share a wifi hot spot. In conclusion do not get this phone even if offered for free. Huge let down, but FREE? I should have known better.

To above saying there's no room for apps. Get APK to SD or root your device and delete all the bullshit bloat apps

Not a bad phone for the price. You guys act like its a $500 phone. I payed $29.99u.s. it works perfectly! I put a 16gb micro sd in it and formated it into the memory. Yes there are a lot of useless apps taking up space.i do have to clear cache often. Im gonna do a root soon. use this to learn how.

This is NOT a Smart Phone! There is NO room in this phone for ANY aps it is 90% full when starting out. (with non removable useless Apps) YES you can upgrade the memory up to 128GB SD card. But after you do you find out that MOST apps can not be moved to the sd card. Also you will not be able to install a new app if the 8gb is full. Why have upgradeable memory if it useless! It's Moronic for ALL Samsung phones to not set the memory to be automatically used instead of a 10 step process to MOVE an app. Could it be worse? Ya, if the phone blew up! Samsung probable NOT my next choice. It is only useful as a child's basic phone. save your money and buy a better phone.
