Solving “Too many pattern attempts” problem in Samsung S5300 Galaxy Pocket

So you might have one of those friends who just likes to play with the lock pattern on your android phone. And then he/she might enter a wrong pattern 20 times! What happens as a result of this is not pleasant. You will be asked to sign in with your Google account. But that won’t work. You will repeatedly see this message: “Invalid username or password” even though you are sure you are entering a correct username and password. I tried different solutions given on youtube and other forums but none worked. Well except one where a “sucky” but working solution was provided. By sucky I mean having to factory reset your phone. That seems to be the only solution.
To reset your phone these are the steps. (I speak on behalf of Samsung Galaxy Pocket S5300 only though)
1. Power off your phone.
2. Press your volume-up button, your home button and your power button till your System Recover Screen comes up.
3. Scroll down to “wipe data/factory reset”and press the home button to select this option.
4. A confirmation screen comes up. Scroll down to “YES — DELETE ALL USER” and then press the home button.
5. Select the “Reboot System Now” option next and wait for your phone to reboot.
Your phone will then boot with all data wiped and all settings reset. At least you can use your phone after this. If anyone has any better solution do post your comments. Cheers. ;)

if u are not using ur phone internet pls off ur packet data connection .. it is save more energy to ur battery ....

alexkmarfo, 04 Jan 2013Hi guyz, i am on my way going to buy samsung galaxy pocket ... morehi there..samsung galxy pocket is a good choice if u are into internet/mobile browsing, music lover and into photography...but if u are a text messaging fanatic, u'll get probems with messages as u will be dizzy looking for new messages when u have received too much messages...delete regularly to be able to manage ur messages... one thing more, the alarm clock doesnt work when shut down...always be in standby mode when u r using alarm..

i just tried out my new samsung galaxy pocket s5300 and i found it so cool,actually better than other androids i have used.bad thing is there is no flashlight.

I realized that some of the information here is not true when I bought my phone...the battery life is over exaggerated

frnds m using this phone its very nice and better phone but it has no flash light which is important ....in dark pics are not too clear without flash light otherwise samsung pocket is awesome

what is the difference between system storage and USB storage? I'm so really confused and also my system storage got full faster than my USB storage why is that?

poor battery life... it wont last a day... my wifi, bt and gps are off ... brightness is on its lowest and my phone is always on silent mode... i regret buying this phone...

The spec on the Samsung S5300 states 500hrs standby on the battery but I am only getting 50hrs, this is grossly overstated in the specs and should be corrected immediately. My husband has the same phone and has the same battery life. Very dissapointed!!

The spec on the Samsung S5300 states the Battery is 500hrs standby where I am only getting 50hrs. only a factor of x10 out, not bad Samsung, lift your game please or we will desert you by the droves.
