Sam, 21 Dec 2012is it waterproof? I mean can it take picture under water?Phone is safe from water damage up to 3 feet for 30 minutes. Touchscreen won't work under water though so don't expect to be snapping pictures under water.

I dropped my Galaxy Rugby Pro i547 from a height of just one meter and the glass shattered. My previous iPhone survived much worse falls while protected in an Otterbox case. Unfortunately because this Samsung is marketed as "rugged" nobody makes a truly protective case for it. Also, online parts suppliers snd repair companies don't support the i547.
My recommendation: stay away. Get a more common phone (iPhone, Galaxy S3, etc) and a good quality case.

Funny phone, it seem resistance to everythings including rusting in salt water but not against screen scratches !
No gorilla glass screen protection.

If you like tough phones that go with you when ur in water and take nearly all the shocks without being affected choose this or sony xperia go (this is better).
If you want something that is really amasing you must choose between three major competitors samsung galaxy note 2 LG optimus G and HTC one X+.
If you want something that gets all the cool software updates first choose nexus
If you want a phone with a brand new system xbox gallery,xbox games cool unibody fast processor super clear screen super camera and other amasing stuff choose between nokia lumia 920 and samsung Ativ S
Don't choose iphone bcoz they are expensive and there specs don't deserve it bb are affordable but not that good
