LilSweetLin, 18 Feb 2019I'm really torn between getting the Note 9 or the S10+ as a... moreBased on performance testing the Snapdragon 855 SoC is a big improvement over the Snapdragon 845. Benchmarks are comparable and in some instances better than the iPhone A12 Chipset. In my opinion it's the number one reason to acquire the S10+. Not that the Snapdragon 845 in the Note 9 is a bad option but it won't compete with newer chipset in the S10+. When you look at any device with a large display, battery drain is a consideration so with increased efficiency in the 855 we should expect lower power consumption than the 845. S-Pen is useful for some functions but not a must have for a majority of users. With respect to cases there will be more options for the S10+ but there are plenty for the Note 9 as well. The Note 9 is a pretty big device and even bigger once a case is added. For myself the size of the Note 9 is a bit too big and the S10+ will have a thinner body and likely be shorter but a bit wider than an S9 Plus. At the reported display size of 6.4" display in the S10+ it's the same size as the Note 9 but will be more compact overall. If you carry it in a purse size probably doesn't matter as much but being a guy I put in my pants pocket so size matters. Best advice is sample both devices side by side once they're released. One thing is certain, the S10+ will set you back a few hundred dollars more than the Note 9.

          PS if samsung and google will work together for a S phone... dreams... dreams...

            So.... You have to decide between S10+ and maybe Mate 20 Pro. Note 9..... Good phone but Very very old tech

                    Waiting for reviewers to say "this is the best phone ever", the same thing they said a few months ago about Note 9.

                      I'm really torn between getting the Note 9 or the S10+ as an upgrade from the Nexus 6P. I've never owned a Note, so I don't know what it would be like to miss having the S-Pen, but isn't it better to know you have the pen if you need it, than needing to use it and not having it? The question I have is how much of a difference the SD 855 will have compared to the SD 845, in terms of speed and battery life, in real world use.

                      Second, the S10+ will have a 4100 mAh battery compared to 4000 mAh in the Note 9. Will there be much difference in the battery life because of the in-display fingerprint sensor? To me, it seems like it would cancel each other out?

                      Third, the S-line phones always have more options with accessories. When I look at what's available for the Note 9 and the S9+, the S9+ has better case options.

                      Whatever I get, I'm going to keep for the next three years, because I can't afford to upgrade every six months. I plan on buying unlocked and using it on T-Mobile, so I want to be as future proofed as possible. Opinions?

I BOUG... moreFor me the cutouts look better than a large notch like iPhone and others however coming from an S9 Plus without cutouts they're likely to garner my attention anytime I look at the display. With the single, round punch hole on the S10 it might be the best option with a 6.1" display, very close to the S9 Plus at 6.2" and the battery is very close at 3400 MaH. This would save some loot as well which factors into a decision as top drawer devices are really expensive nowadays. I think I can live with a small punch hole as a trade off for a number of upgrades over the S9 Plus.

                                  hi, does anyone know if the S10 Plus will have the option to increase the time for the slow-mo videos, I have the S9 Plus 128GB Version, and you can only record Slow-Mo for 14 Seconds, which I find kind of useless, would prefer at least 30 seconds or customizable to the users preference

                                    Lol, are you really serious samsung about that hole? I BOUGHT S9+ BECAUSE IT HAS NO NOTCH, and upgraded to note 9 because it doesn't have notch, honestly this one is more good design in terms of being ugliest.
