scorpio, 12 Feb 2021Perhaps of interest to you, I updated my s10 five days ago.... moreHi Scorpio, I How do you like 3.0? I think it's better . I like the call background feature where you can set videos or live wallpapers which is good. I have video set on mine. I also like I can read messages in conversions, and other notifications where I just swipe panel down and read them all. On 2.5 it only showed few lines. The only thing I miss is i can't set different edge lighting colours for my Gmail , email etc. One edge lighting effect does all apps. But it's not a big problem. The gallery is better now. Recycle bin and to move things to folders is at the bottom now which is good. Also double tap feature. Recycle bin Iin messages which is handy. The settings layout is nice. Good lock app was updated to Android 11 as I personally like to design my own themes, keyboards and notification Pannals. I like to customizer my phone. I don't like the theme it came with as I personally don't like white background all over. I also like the new notification Pannal layout. As for performance everything is running smooth. Battery is good. No problems at all:)

Maggi, 12 Feb 2021 Can I ask. First how do you know 3.0 is worse? Secomd who ... moreI have seen enough that I don't want UI 3.0 on my phone. Some features are limited and options in settings are mess. Live wallpapers were cool and whatsapp pop-up also and at first place this phone had Android Pie with all those features that are gone. And I don't like notofication bar, volume control, edge lightning and etc. on Android 11. Each option counts and matters.

I had 3.0 paused on mine for few days as I was worried. But I choose to install it and honestly running really smooth. From performance to display to battery etc etc is all good. Maybe you will get another year with your phone. Because the security that you need and are not worrying about it leaves your phone like I said funerable. That's all I have to say. Good lock and i wish you the best.

Anonymus, 11 Feb 2021I miss moving background and Whatsapp pop-ups. And this is ... moreI noticed you said you missed WhatsApp pop up. Whattsapp took that feature out on Android 10. But you.can use smart pop up.which I use. And it's great. So far still no problems on Android 11. Battery is great. Really running smooth. Apps open quickly. It's 👍.

I was also very dubious as you quite rightly are but decided that my phone should be as up to date as it can be. I have not noticed any problems at all and if anything the phone may be marginally quicker and smoother. However a major change that I have noticed is that battery life appears to be improving daily, a very welcome improvement. So without wanting to criticise your decisions I would simply observe that we cannot be living in the past, we must always strive to be as up to date as we can be. This is progress. Sometimes I feel that we read too much and also believe everything that we read whether right or otherwise. But good luck whichever way you choose.

I miss moving background and Whatsapp pop-ups. And this is downgrade from Android Pie on Android 10.
Manufacturers(Samsung also) reinvented existing things on smartphones:
bokeh effect(available from 2013 on Xperia), Single take(2014 Z3 Compact and Z2), ultrawide lenses (LG from 2016), tap to wake and lock (LG for more than 7 years), Pro/Manual camera mode (LG for 6-7 years), IP 68/ water and splash durbility from Siemens M35 to Xperia Z in 2013 again, Laser autofocus LG G4, and Zenfone 3 series and then on Samsung Note 20 Ultra, then Portrait mode from 2011 I remember on Xperia Pro and it had HDMI port, now new Xperia Pro has that HDMI port. And portrait mode is again turned on in 2017. I believe in 5 years micro SD will be again reinvented/reused as new feature.
Samsumg added last some features but it kept the most of them. Unfortunately they follow Apple in bad decisions for customers few times(S6) and now again(S21).
S20 and S21 series is downgrade from S10 series because they push customers to buy wireless Buds instead of regular 3.5mm earphones, they removed Heart sensor which can measure blood pressure also and now you have to buy Watch3 to have it. Now they will shut down Note series and push you tu buy S pen on S21 Ultra and Ultea only. They removed micro SD to push you to buy most expensive memory options in S21. I know they are aware of reading and writing speed but you haven't option to expand no matter on memory speed.
And now lack of chargers....in 5 years they should remove screen and leave it optional because of enviroment...
After more than year I discover new features on my S10+ and now is more important then 2 years ago because it get features to future models but keep old arhaic ones that are going in history unfortunate. I think they have wrong chairman. S21 Ultra is the best phone today but with many missing features.
Only thing on S10+ which should be better is telefoto camera with more zoom. But with this 2x you get one of the best bokeh shots. Selfie cam is also interesting.
For me is strange that new Samsung models don't have dual aperture on main camera and on selfies they downgraded from f1.7 on S8 and S9, and f1.9 on S10+ to f2.2 Note10, S20, S21...
This S10+ is really something for 10th aniversary of S series.

Dong, 10 Feb 2021You make no sense. UI 3.0 is much worse than UI 2.1 and I know it. They have removed one hand features and they have done a mess in settings and downgrades/limitations in options and adjustments. And a lot of other things like battery drain and bugs. Me and my friends in this profession do not update S10+ on Android 11. You are welcome to update it if you want. I don't need those changes.

Sumulik, 09 Feb 2021After android 11 update I cannot perform a wipe cache part... moreHi. Since 3.0 you have to plug your headphones in and then reboot into recovery mode. That's how I did it. Apparently samsung has said its to.stop users accidently rebooting thier phones into recovery mode which is strange doesn't seem right to me. But this is how we have to reboot it into recovery mode. I contacted Samsung through members app and that's the answer I got back.

Also for your apps. I don't understand why you choose not to update and update monthly security which is a must for any phone. Strange.....

Anonymus, 05 Feb 2021My phone on UI 2.1 is running without any problems and 2.5 ... moreIf you hate updates why use a smartphone, computer etc?. It's the updates that keeps phone, computers running smooth. Without security patch updates your phone is vulnerable. If everyone thought like that we would still be on marshmallow. There' are ppl who waiting for updates that have not recieved it yet and you have the update but won't download it. But thats your choice and your entitled to it. But your phone will eventually become sluggish , apps will become obsolete in time. There's a reason for updates!
