It's interesting how to moved unlock button all the way to the top edge to make sure that you can't reach it, so you won't buy it instead of S10...

RoB, 01 Mar 2019Hard to choose between S10 and S10e, the difference in pric... moreThe best selling point of S10e is the flatscreen. We're holding back the upgrade before this phone. Believe it or not I stopped looking at phones news because curved screens have become the norm. I only stumbled upon the S10 series last week when it was officially announced for pre-order because someone posted on Facebook. I immediately got hyped upon knowing about S10e having flat screen and made the pre-order on the first day. No one knows when the next flat screen flagship phone will be made.

BTW: You can remap the Bixby button, and the front camera isn't annoying at all. Doesn't bother me. Notches are much worse. Enjoy!

Just switched from the Nokia 7 plus to the Samsung Galaxy S10e. One word - incredible.
Everything is much better. Camera, display, battery life and performance. The Nokia 7 plus' battery life was such a big disappointment after the update to Android 9.0 Pie, not to mention the display and software were quirky. I'm done with mid-range smartphones. Had the Pocophone F1, horrid battery life and display, same with the Nokia 7 plus. Back to Samsung.
Go for this device, guys. You won't be disappointed at all!

Hard to choose between S10 and S10e, the difference in price is small. Only pro for S10e is small size, and S10 is the "real deal" with much better looks.

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2019You need to check out the battery endurance figure as well ... moreThe smaller battery capacity means lesser endurance but with 8nm chip it should last just about the same as the larger budget phones with 12nm. Suppose it had equal battery capacity with the budget phone's then it surely would outperform the budget phones but I highly doubt it could outperform battery of budget phones. I'd say it should last the same with the budget ones. And the higher resolution surely does depletes battery faster be it amoled or LCD.

scorpio, 01 Mar 2019I'll be interested to see s10 and s10e displays side by sid... moreNo they won't. It will just come down to the screen size user preference. I had comoared S10e with my S7 side by side, they're not noticeable at all considering S7 already has higher resolution and smaller screen size and PPI of 600+ vs S10e's PPI of 400+.

ShaMana, 28 Feb 2019The new phone has: Smaller Display, Lower Resolution, Same ... moreIt has what will likely be a more power-efficient CPU, and more future-proofing due to the same CPU. Otherwise...
The lower resolution is still past the magical 400ppi theshold so pixels will still be very much invisible. Any increase in resolution would just wipe out battery faster for *absolutely* no gain in terms of anything.
Curved edges are notorious for being ergonomics- and usability-busting. Also it makes screens much more expensive and the phone extremely vulnerable to any side-on impact with anything moderately hard. I dropped my S5 (or sometimes hit it) on its side dozens of times... and nothing happened (except some dents)
In terms of frame I would expect this phone to be noticeably smaller than the S8 or S9. Plenty of people must find most 200-plus-Euro phones unusably large; here is an up-to-date flagship of reasonable size and with something in the way of guaranteed support (repairs, updates, etc.). Why is this bad?

notafanboy, 28 Feb 2019Pathetic battery... Come on Samsung. You need to check out the battery endurance figure as well as the SOT instead of the battery capacity alone, this phone come with 8nm chips which is an energy efficient chips compare to those budget phone you have.
I think you should buy a M20 instead, that's fit your budget... lol
