I'm looking at upcoming releases and this still doesn't have much competition. The Pixel 4a is OK but it's sluggish by comparison and has half the storage(which isn't upgradeable). Sony may still release something in the future but i can't imagine the price of its compact phone being very appealing, plus they may keep with that dumb screen ratio they have recently adopted.
It's a bit embarrassing that phone manufacturers haven't managed to best a device that's over a year old. Maybe Apples SE will encourage other manufacturers that smaller phones aren't being given the attention they deserve. This phone isn't even that small but there's just no competition nowadays...

Samsung sells their phones based on spec sheets not on real word performance and usability.

this phone is well worth it, got mine 8 months back and I had some battery drain but with updates it has improved so Im very happy, It does everything you need and is small

Is the side mounted fingerprint as accurate as a larger one on the back? Trying to stay away from an underdisplay one. I read everywhere, that they aren't consistently accurate

Hate the fact Samsung dint go for it. After the SE release im sure they are regreting.
What would have been ideal is 20e
Same design (glass back)
5.8-5.9 1080 screen (improved) flat screen (no edge)
Water resistant.
Should come in amazing colors
Upgraded camera (should pack at lease 2 of the same cameras as s20) better than s10e
No camera hump (as it doesnt pack all cameras from the usual s20)
Improved/same side fingerprint sensor
Bigger battery and super fast charging, wireless charging
With all screen option (pop up selfie camera)
Offer older but faster processor (keep price low)
Headphone jack! (this is important) SE has this
This is all we need.

Only Android compact phone with latest fetures. Would be perfect if there is Samsung Galaxy S20e version but that won't happen since for some reason evrybody are making huge phones. Apple iPhone 11 PRO dimensions are still in the compact area but it is too expensive. I would like to have more compact phones on the market.
