To everyone here that is also looking for a "compact" phone. What other phones do you consider? Aside from the S10e there is also the Galaxy A40 (low budget), Google Pixel 3 (expensive and mid range specs). These are recent phones with at least around 2 years of updates to be received.
@everyone complaining about the battery of the S10e and advising the S10/+ instead. Are you sure the battery is not worse on those? The battery is bigger but so is the screen. I read a review telling how the S10e battery performed longer on the S10e compared to the S10 and S10+. I could be wrong but people seem to only look at the battery capacity and not other things

Anonymous, 04 May 2019A good display which is hardly any different from the 1440p... moreOn the notification bar, hold down the POWER MODE icon to enter its configuration. Then you will have access to 3 power mode settings. You can hold down each power mode to enter the sub configurations, which also includes the option to LIMIT CPU SPEED to 70%. On a side note, the phone automatically reduces all processor cores' frequency at default when processing power is not needed.

I thought i would like a smaller phone, but i prefer to go with regular S10. Same size as S9, and compared to S10e it has much better look, louder speaker, better cameras, better screen...etc. Same weight, and just a little more expensive.
Your choice...

A good display which is hardly any different from the 1440p sets like my previous flat S7. I don't believe in the Edge screen which really put me off from upgrading to the S8 or S9. And the smaller screen should equate to better battery life too. The punch hole can be annoying at times, but definitely less intrusive than the notches of late. Overall, it's just a damn good screen to indulge at, and it's easy on the eyes too!
Sound quality through the jack is a hit or miss, it's warm and more towards the mids. But there are plenty of audio enhancements to play around. Can't fault the stereo speakers though, great sound! The included AKG earphones are pretty nice and comfortable, and should be just fine for the majority, even for a self proclaimed audiophile like me. Dolby Atmos is just a gimmick though, and I was never into virtual surround sound.
Processing power is more than adequate for the light user in me. I don't game on the go so the Exynos 9820 is definitely overkill. I haven't found the option to tone down the CPU power, which was available on my S7. Overall, the phone runs butter smooth especially with all animation off. Shouldn't be a problem for the hardcore guys out there.
Camera is surprisingly good. I find Huawei cameras heavy on post processing. Samsung cameras seem to have the right amount. Auto focusing is a blitz!
Battery is rather poor I would say. 2 hours of normal usage took away 20% juice. My Nokia 8 with the same battery capacity does better.
Ergonomics is typical Samsung. Everything feels in place. I personally prefer the side mounted fingerprint sensor. Felt more natural even for small hands like mine. Facial unlock is ok, the Chinese rivals are way better.
The S10e is all the phone you need.

Dimi, 01 May 2019I have a S8 and considering to upgrade to S10e.
Even thoug... moreNope, not at all. There isn't a difference for the human eye, we can't really notice it.
Plus with that display and a slightly better battery and more efficient processor, you'll definitely get better battery life. I'm with my Galaxy S10e, and I absolutely love it!

Dimi, 01 May 2019I have a S8 and considering to upgrade to S10e.
Even thoug... moreThat's why it is called S10e, e is for essential. The higher resolution of display may be so important for most peoples. I think those people know if they set the higher resolution display on their phone, the higher one consumes the battery more.
With our naked eyes, we cannot see big differrences although it is diffrerent. Back to conclusion, this e is for essential.

Dimi, 01 May 2019I have a S8 and considering to upgrade to S10e.
Even thoug... moreI just moving from S8 to S10e. There's nothing any different in terms of screen resolution, my eyes surely can't catch up "less pixel" on S10e. Even it have more better sharpness and color accuracy where you can easily notice.
Slightly better battery performance too
